OK I get the guys at the game, although I don't think pointing out a flop is a sign of bias. But the studio guys, especially CB, have never had a problem complaining about anything they deem wrong with the game. I'm just wishing that someone would say SOMETHING I guess. And yeah, JVG calling out Horry's flop on Boozer is hilarious.
Now I understand why Dirk hammered AK down in one the game during the season. If AK continues these disgraceful floppings, someone need to bring him down hard like Dirk did.
When Dirk's making you his punk, it's time to reasses your manliness. I'd love a Rockets blowout in this series just so someone like Loren Woods just came in to put the hammer down on AK when he's driving to the hoop. That may be vindictive and ugly of me, but I really don't care anymore. I was tired of all this when Stockton, Malone, and Hornacek were getting away with it 10 years ago, much less now. At this point if the Jazz organization was banned from the league and their arena was imploded, bulldozed, and the earth it was on was salted so that nothing could ever grow there again, I would throw a kegger and everyone on the board would be invited.
There is absolutely no doubt that Deron takes three large definitive and obvious steps enroute to the basket right before getting swatted by Landry. How the **** do all these players in the league consistently get away with crap like this while Tmac and Yao get called for phantom travels at least once a game
Damn! I just realized. The refs won a game for Utah already, luckily they didn't win another. But damn, Landry is fired up. This game winning block will be his take off point of his amazing future career. As for brooks, lets hope he gets his time to shine.
Great victory for this team, 2-1 is still a defeat but we can still win the series. Rafer played great. He was making easy shots, and whan makes me happy - he made McGrady play off the ball simply the whole game. He played like a real playmaker. Landry is a fighter, this guy just know what it is all about and has heart. I feel sorry because of his tooth but damn, he gave us a WIN
We've had issues all season, it's expected for us. Utah on the other hand is a better free throw shooting team than they showed last night.
as I have predicted landry showing up in game 3 was our hope. hopefully this will be his coming out party after the injury. he will see plenty of him now.
I was thinking the same thing inthe middle of the 4th quarter - we could use a timely 3-pointer or so by someone to get some space in the score... I would put Novak and Head in the game, not neccesarily together, but for a minute or two each quarter - they get a couple shots, and they stay or leave the game on a sort of shot-by-shot basis; they make shots, they stay in, they miss or make TOs, they get yanked. I would also throw in Brooks there for offensive plays and run a play for him where he takes his man off the dribble at the top of the key. If guys are making their shots, it's easy offense.
If the Scola-Landry combo is back up and running, we could take the next 3 games... Not a big deal for a team that had a pretty good winning streak during the regular season. This last game was the closest we've seen to anything that took place during the 22-streak. There was intensity and different guys to make the big play. There was a late in the 2nd half where Battier was the go-to-guy, then it was Scola making the plays on Offense and D, then it was Tmac, then Landry, etc. I also liked where when Hayes in the game, Landry is in there with him. They make up for the defiiciencies of each other.
OMG!!! Now that my eyes were completely fixed on AK it looks so much worse. Clearly the objective of that was to get called for the flop. A pathetic attempt.
Excuse me but it is too much. This guy is unbelivable. He wanted to win 2 game in a row with the same play, I mean awful FLOP? Gotta be suspention or something like that. NBA needs to cut it.
from what i saw on the highlights tmac had a good game looked kinda fresh to me liked the move he did on harpring in the of the 2nd tmac registers 27points http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/nbacom/news/tmac_got1_080424.asx
Wow all the people in the other threads that were bashing the rockets and saying that it was over are now coming out in full droves like you knew all along that we would win. Get Real! Be a consistent fan your love/hatred for the rockets = AKs flopping summary: cheating
When he flops, I am surprised that one of our players hasn't just fallen on top of him....full body...elbows and knees FIRST.....just flat out hammer him. That is what they would have done in the old days. DD
Does anyone still beleive in TMac? I dont. After his comments after game 2 and his comments after game 3 I have lost all respect for him. I still want the Rockets to win above all else but dont see how we will when our team leader and superstar has such a loser mentality.
The key to this game was our free throw defense. Hopefully, we can sustain it in game 4 as well. Without that, we'd be down 0-3 right now.
Man, that's a good point. If you're going to act like you're getting fouled then you are going to pay for it and actually get fouled. The problem then becomes the refs.....
SWEEEEEEEEETTTT!!!....man I stayed up and rewatched th whole 4th quearter!!!...thanks god for TIVO!!!!! Lets steal the one on Saturday too!!!!
