i agree with those posters saying that you just have to find another shot if yao is being fronted. the third quarter started out ugly with us attempting to force it into him and the magic narrowed the game down to a 1 pt lead. if we want the other team to stop fronting, we have to punish them for it. i appreciate the experiments with the lob passes, but it just wasn't working.

i think attacking the rim can be an effective strategy in these situations, but artest does not have the handles to be attempting to take dudes of the dribble. von wafer does at times, and at least when he drives he will have the sensibility to pass it out (maybe not quick enough at this yet, but he does it). artest doesn't, once he drives he's determined to put a shot up. he looked good in the early fourth quarter, especially with that sweet pass to landry cutting to the basket, and that's what frustrates me about him. he has the ability to play unselfishly.

landry played courageously for his return. just stepping on the court and collecting 4 pts and 2 rebs would have impressed me based on what he's been through, but he pleasantly exceeded those expectations.

Great win tonight. Nice to see the home team pick up their 50th win. Third year in a row with 50 plus wins. 4 out of the last 5 seasons with only the injury marred 2005-2006 campaign. I really want the division title this year. It has been a long time since we have been able to add to the banners.

You really have no idea what Yao goes through in each possession. He gets pushed with two hands constantly and your saying he has bad balance? Yao gets punished physically more than any other player on the block besides Shaq. He's got a spin move you can't even do, yet he's 2 feet taller than you. Bad balance? For a guy 7.5 feet tall, he has excellent balance. Of course it's hard to keep your balance with guys pulling your jersey, slapping at your hands, and pushing you at all times...

Am I the only one impressed with our second unit?

They seem to often have stretches where they blow the game open for us
getting stops and seemingly scoring at will.

Yahoo Sports stats showed Tracy McGrady with a DNP-coaching decision.

Alston had more points and assists than Brooks if that matters. Neither are better PGs in my opinion.

Yao isn't very coordinated because of his height and his lack of athletic ability hurts him too,but he demands a double team nearly every night. It's up to the others to take advantage of that. Running better plays for him will help too.

Was Dwight seriously thinking about going for a dunk? He's like, 4 feet from the basket, with a BIG man standing in his way.

    Great win

I never felt like we wouldn't win the game, even when they made a run and got it down to 3.

BTW, we are playing ridiculous defense.

good to see Landry having fun.

good to see Yao being the best center.

Adelman has to do something about Artest ballhogging. I like the guy but he seriously is killing us with the selfish play.

Von Wafer is the answer to fronting.
