    lol at rafer.

"He didn’t miss?" Alston said. "That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12."

good luck to you, rafer. you know sometimes a 1-for-1 or 2-for-2 can also be a perfect night. :D

The best thing about this game is that it shows the team buying into Adelman's system.

Alston didn't realize Yao didn't miss and criticized himself for not getting him even more looks.

"That's a bad job by myself. I took too many shots," said Alston, who went 9-for-17 from the field. "But that's tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that."

  You have got to be kidding rafer!!! You just now noticed Yao's shooting percentage is better than yours?

The Heat were leaving Alston WIDE open. They were daring him to shoot.

If Alston didn't take (and start to make) those shots, the double teams on Yao would've gotten worse. The Rockets did the right thing.

What he's trying to say is that some of the fans here are so fickle. One day, Tmac is a cancer, the next, he is the apple of our eye, and so on, all depending how the player performs game by game.

Great win and it's been a long time since Yao has a perfect FG (I believed during his rookie year and made Barkley ...).

9/17 is not something to scoff at either.

Rafer has a good game, everyone shuts up.. then a bad night which is occurring more often everyone starts the ranting. He's really inconsistent.

How can you say this after this game? Wafer went 0'fer in the second half right? It's clear that he gave up on this game and didn't bring it. I think the team should probably look to move him for a ballboy or perhaps a hot cheerleader from another team.

Did you see that he didn't get ecstatic after the Landry make at the end of the game? He smirked and had a partial scowl. He really must be a locker room cancer. In fact I heard from a reliable source (my ass) that Yao wants Wafer out.

If Wafer isn't going to commit to the conditioning required for two complete halves, then I'd rather see Spanoulis brought back. His decimal assist to turnover ratio brings a lot of comic relief and enjoyment for the fans. Spanoulis' selflessness of making it look like he can't play just to bring laughter to the world is surely needed more than a scowling mohawk-boy that isn't committed to the team concept of two halves of basketball.

Looks like Yao set a Miami Heat record too with his 12/12:

C'mon yourself. Wade shot 11 for 25 to get 29 points. Wade threw up two airballs in the 4th quarter in part because he had to expend so much energy with Battier and Wafer on him all night. Battier should be "hitting creases?" No, he's a spot up three point shooter. That gives Yao Ming spacing. The energy that Battier has to expend every night defending the best offensive players frees up the other Rocket wing players (McGrady, Artest, now Wafer) to pick their spots and be aggressive. Think bigger picture, Lee.

I'm a 17-year-old fan from China.I had an important exam this morning so I missed this game.Since the exam was so easy,I had finished my paper in advance. With nothing to do,I thought about Rockets' game and wished we would win.I draw Rockets' symbol on the scratch paper and wrote 'Go Rockets! ' To my surprise,YAO made such an amazing performance!WOW! Sweat win!:)

ha-ha, Miami will remember the name of our big fella for quite a long time.

    Man, good luck.

I predict a winning streak just began.

In the midst of all the drama this season, let's take a second to stop and appreciate what Yao brings to this team. Congratulations on a record setting night, Yao! We'll need you, Mac, and Ron all playing at high levels to reach our goals this season. Athos! Porthos! Plus one whose name we never learned! ;)
