Maybe someone can clarify for me what we can expect out of Ron the rest of the season. How was he in Sacramento? Was he doing his barreling out of control style there too for his primary scoring or was it simply a more efficient barreling out of control style that he's not executing with us so far?

He just seems so cumbersome on offense. I realize the guy's pretty well-built, maybe a little too much for his height, but it just seems like he's a rolling freight train that tries to barrel people out of the way for scoring and has no finesse or any sense of balance about it.

As always Landry to the rescue.

Second night of a back to back man. That's really all it is. Keep in mind too, he's dealing with an arthritic shoulder and a knee that's recovering from arthroscopic surgery in the offseason. He won't be 100% or even 90% most of the season. He'll be fine as long as we can monitor his minutes on back to back games.

Yea... and he almost barrelled his way single-handedly past us last season in one quarter when the Kings were down by 20+ pts.

Ron is a beast. He ain't trying to be pretty. Get used to it.

all i know is ron is def. not a guy we can trust down the stretch with the ball. dude is a horrible creator either for himself on the perimeter or his teammates. and it's hard to post him up late b/c yao will be playing and it'll be congested in the paint.

we seriously need to play him with the 2nd unit and just post him up. he has no use on the perimeter excpet wide open 3s.

I dont mind artest being aggrassive. if yao is too scared to shoot it and mcgrady is playing like an pansy, i rather see ron take those shots then someone like rafer

I can't take too many positives from this game. Scola and Landry had nice offensive games. Rafer had his best game. Artest played better offensively.

But we did it against a truly terrible Clipper's team. If this is the effort we give on Sunday, the Lakers will blow us out.

Less Hayes, more Scola and Landry is a much better recipe for scoring and I believe winning.

Hayes is a great post defender, but use him sparingly.....let Landry and Scola's adequate defense but superior offense make the team more cohesive.

Nice win by the Rockets particularly Scolandry tonight.

He did well. He gets fouled a lot and puts pressure on defense. Sure, he gets stuffed sometimes, but he is aggressive. Yao and Tmac should learn by example.

Guys, you can not complain Yao just according to the score board. Rocket can win this game because of Yao. Yes, Scola and Landry may score more, but in the defensive end it is Yao who protected the rim. Cayman Scored something because Yao should help others. Alston can not defense Baron, and Baron attack the rim directly. That's why Yao lost his man-Cayman.

think its more or less due to chemistry though. on 1 drive he ran into yao, yao didn't know whether to move out of the way or not.

No, I'm not trying to be a smartass about it or anything. I really want to know if that's his style. I don't actually remember that game, so I can't comment on that.

If it is, then it is indeed a fairly ugly style. I just hope it'll work for us this season.

i couldn't see the game... I love you guys lol.

    Nice win for the rox..

The box score looks promising and dissapointing in the same time (in reference to TMac and Brooks). It seemed like a good all-round game for the rest of the players. And 5 blocks from Yao is beastial!

Are you serious? Dude plays both ends, gives maximum effort, and puts pressure on defense. He's no tmac, but Tmac is no ron too.

Our D was just fine. Our offense was a little off, but they contained Baron Davis nicely in the second half.

    This team needs some ugly.

He did put on about 15 lbs of muscle this summer according to him so he's probably not quite as fluid out there.

I know you were being earnest. I am just telling you how I see it.

The Lakers have had a whole week to prepare for us. What an advantage.
