I think Jeffries is feeling comfortable in Houston. This could be really awesome if he keeps it up.

Did anyone else know that Yao's minutes would increase this game? It is intriguing. Maybe they do want him to be starting the regular season at 24mins per game if they are letting him go with 19 now.

    Thoughts?

He is playing in China.......but from the looks of it, he can easily play 24 minutes. I can see him playing 24 minutes and easily playing 30-33 minutes in the playoffs (assuming we get there)

I wouldn't count on it, but miracles have been known to happen.

yeah, his expiring is too good and so are the player sin front of him...not many reasons not to trade him...but i think he's the kind of player any playoff team should have room for...his energy is contagious and he brings it every night, which often can have a significant effect because of his length. I'd like him to be re-signed, at cheaper contract of course.

As was mentioned, he's playing for a contract, so maybe we'll be lucky and get the best Jeffries is ever going to give anyone. We could use some luck, but again, I'm not holding my breath!

Another "solid" from solid! Could you believe that sequence that started with Battier's pass to Yao, and the terrific pass from Yao to Martin? Sweet!

I set my alarm and watched the game from start to finish. Yao looked good. He's been showing of a nice pump-fake to running baby hook with his left hand. I was surprise about the additional minutes he played, but he looked good in them. The only thing bad was the amount of turn-overs that occurred in the 3rd qtr when the Rocks were trying to force the ball into Yao in the paint. Those led to a bunch of fast breaks for the Nets that got them back into the game.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Brad Miller brings to the table in our next game. He should get a good run if his ankle holds up.
Having Budinger and Courtney Lee coming off the bench with a dynamic pg, whether it's Ish or Kyle, along with some bigs that know what they're doing is just like having the Golden State Warriors as are 2nd unit!

I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but I saw Chuck Hayes post up and hit a fade away jump shot! :p That and some nice jump hooks. Chuck getting some Scola moves!

i guess its just a case of Adelman finally getting enough players that fit his system...watching the nets highlights you can see how obvious the plays are and yet they're not only scoring from them, but doing it easily and smoothly. I can't remember the last time i saw scoring like that in houston.

Yeah Chuckie definitely worked on his offensive game. Kudos to him for his hard off season work. That being said he has about a 5 foot range at best. PP is much better offensively and more athletic although not the defensive specialist as chuck. I really like what I saw from PP this last game. His hops are definitely better. It's funny how these rooks come in and in a short time their hops get better. Same thing happened to landry. I hope PP beats out Chuck by the end of the season. That would mean we are better at PF.

It is exactly that. Artest and Tmac were never going to run his offense. As soon as Tmac got injured we started to run the offense much better. That when we started that 22 game win streak. That allowed tmac to buy into it a little cause he saw it working. But towards the end of the streak he started doing it less. ANd by playoff time he said it was on him.

With Artest out there you had the same problem. He just dribbled to much. Last year we ran it better but we just lacked talent. After the trade we had to adjust to the new players so that was a setback. But even then by the end of the season you could see how they were jelling much better. And now they are even better and will only get better. Consider they have so many new guys and they also don't have the best instinctive players on the team. Battier certainly doesn't fall in that category. And you have to insure Yao gets his touches which is a bit of a contradiction to Adelman's free flowing offense. So there will be that balancing act they will have to learn to adjust. But all in all the offense looks better than ever.

Gotta love it! Consummate professionals. Nothing but net. ;)

Seriously, it was sweet, they are looking good out there. Miller's return will be interesting, might see some M and M magic.
