Before preseason it seemed like more people wanted to trade Brooks so Lowry could become the starter. Now look at everyone. Come on now CF

I hope feeding Shane and Chuck will not become a constant part of the offense.

That may end up costing him a lot of $$$$....I think he is counting on the owners winning the CBA battle....

As far as I'm concerned this is a huge sign of improvement from our coach. Last season all he could talk about was wanting to let the guys play. Now at least he knows something's wrong, even in wins like these. If the coach is worried and the team sees it, they will take note and start to improve. If all he does is stand there with a blank look on his face, then the team will go nowhere fast.

Isn't this a foregone conclusion? What the hell can the players do? Move to europe and play b-ball there for a year? They could strike...but then they'd just play into the owners' hands who love nothing more than just to close shop and stop paying out millions of dollars for a couple of months.

Did not watch the game. Do you want to say CBud is a better defender than Battier?

Your solution to our defense is to start CBud over Shane?

Did you watch Lowry last night?? AB should and will start and he has a better ability to finish at the hoop instead of relying on the foul all the time.

Battier has been a complete scrub on defense and non-existent on offense(which is usual for battier).

But seriously I think a toddler who's barely learning how to walk, can get by battier at this point. The dude has completely lost any type of vertical quickness he had in the past. We must find a way to upgrade at the SF position or I don't see us advancing to far into the playoffs.

I think they are about equal in terms of finishing ability. Brooks is more creative and has a better touch, but he isn't as strong to get the two-and-ones. Lowry is better at drawing fouls.

The problem with Lowry is he has no jumper. At all. He's very predictable as a result. Brooks has a very complete offensive game, in contrast.

    So clueless.

San Antonio's starting SF Jefferson was a complete non factor last night.

    2-9 shooting.

As long as Yao is in our starting lineup, Brooks will start. Yao needs spacing, and people need to respect AB's 3pt shot. If Lowry starts, they know he won't be able to hit the 3 and will sag off of him. If they really wanted to use the Lowry/Martin and Brooks/Lee combos, I'd rather have KMart coming off the bench, which isn't going to happen. That man looks impressive.

Does anyone have a clip of that? I was only able to catch snippets of the game.

Exactly! People are so ready to jump on Battier b/c he's not flashy or athletic enough for them. I swear half these ppl don't even watch the game closely or they would have seen Jefferson miss most of his shots due to Battier's defense. It's a lot better than Budinger's matador defense when his man practically walked right by him for an easy layup.

    Several reasons.

    1) He's a Shooting Guard. He's supposed to shoot the ball, not pass it.

    2) Adelman wants him to shoot the ball.

    3) He's a scorer and one of the best scorers in the league.

    4) Oh, and he does pass the ball, but someone just passing the ball doesn't make a lot of highlight clips.

If you go on NBA.com, his shot is on one of the highlight videos. :) I can't link it cause I'm on my phone. Hope that helps!
