All of a sudden the line between starters and second unit is becoming blurry. Which is which?? ;)

I was at the game and this was awesome. The look on his face was hilarious as he stood over the 3 Spurs.

I am not sure what some of you are seeing but Martin looks to have stepped up his defense. He is fighting through the screens better, getting steals and staying with his guy. I like what I see, if he can keep this up then we will be about average as a defender. Better then way below average as he was before.

If your talkin about that 3rd quarter buzzerbeater then you are spot on bro. That was amazing. Especially the pose afterward when hes looking down at all 3 on the floor. SCHOOLED! That needs to be the first 10-11 replay for the youtube clutchfans channel!

I only saw the highlight so im lookin forward to the whole replay of that play.

I feel like the bench need someone to post up and create offense because none of the guy can post up. Even Brad Miller is not a post up guy that can draw double team. Maybe they should play Scola pass the 1st quarter mark in order to facilitate the bench.

Yao IMO looked great, give him 15 or 20 games and he'll get his rythem back
Scola already said he is tired
Lee..?? you don't know how you feel about lee?. the guy played great defense and scored 11 points off the bench..!!

what kind of analysis is that?

I'm glad you thought this over for so long...

but seriously...I think they and everyone else knows who Lowry is...what he does, etc...nothing new here...he's something we dont have in the backcourt, that's why they kept him.

I'm a little dissapointed that we have not seen much of Patterson. I'm hoping his role increases, otherwise he will fall to the level of Harris, Taylor, and Jeffryes and never play. :(

Look! This is the 2nd preseason game and Yao has improved. Those 2 blocks on Blair were awesome, especially for a center who has not played for 15 months.

Didn't watch the game, but saw the box score, Yao looks better according to the stat sheet.

I hope Rockets fans ain't too worry about Scola not performing well, it's obvious that Preseason means give the ball to your scrubs and see what they can do with it. Everyone already knows what Scola brings to the table, so I don't expect Rick Adelman to run many plays for him during the Preseason.

i think Adelman's saying that we have a bunch of individuals trying to win by themselves. it's only preseason we the team needs time to gel.

SO based on the early pre-season performance, do you think that yao, will be back to his old self?

This is very tough, he needs MINUTES to get there, and he is limited in his minutes....

I think he COULD get there in time, but he needs to play more.....

It is clear that Lowry is not, and won't for the foreseeable future be, starting PG material for this team. Brooks is the man, and he will get paid what he deserves (10 mil or so/year) next summer.

It is to be expected that the backup will get fluffed by a large contingent of any fan base. Lowry is fun to watch and cheer for, but Brooks is just the better player in almost every aspect of the game. In fact, Brooks is the perfect PG for this system because he does not have to be a distributor on every play.

Morey believes in Brooks, and so do I.

The starters are horrible on defense
Time to start Cbud over Battier
    Yao looked a little better
