    Several points:

    1)Many seats were empty, sigh
2)Yao' suck in offense end but finally become huge at defense end
3)Artest is amazing, he could be a solid part in any team
5)MVP should be Landry or some one else execpt Mac or Yao in this game
5)We will know more about this team after next game agaist Celtics

Both Yao's and Ron's +/- was +13 in this. That's why the Adelman couldn't AFFORD to have his 2 best players off the floor. There 3rd best player McGrady had a +/- of -1. So for the people that keep complaining about playing Yao and Ron too long, please check the stats. Numbers don't lie. You should try it sometime and not get fooled by all the "fluff".

They don't check the facts, that's why they are calling for adelman's head. That's why fans can only shoot s**t on the board for free while adelman shoot s**t on the court for millions.

    landry: +8; brooks: +9; barry: +12; scolar: +2

I think that group plus either artest or tmac would have got yao extra 5 minutes rest without losing the lead.

I like landry closing out games. IMO i think he can give you more at the end of the game than scola who really has looked limited on offense

I think they are focusing on getting Yao rest on days off more than in games. I think they'll try to get his mpg down a minute or two this season but the biggest focus will be lessening his load at practice.

I totally agree. We need at least one more big.

Our two biggest needs right now are:

    Starting PG
    Frontcourt length

Championship teams don't take games off, and they don't play down to their competition, especially at home. The Rockets have been doing this for a good long time, and if it continues, well, you know what will happen. The Rockets should have emptied their bench tonight. Didn't happen. I expect more from this team.

I'm not quite sure why we can't draw better with crowds. They need to start giving the tickets away solely to members of this BBS if the disgraceful numbers of the public show up like they did tonight.

Realistically, will we get them though? I mean who in the world wants Alston at this point? Maybe we can offer a Alston + Head package to someone, but who would that net us?

It'd be nice if we signed Mutombo, he can't possibly want that much that we can't sign him.

doesn't really matter if yao play high minutes. The only **** that get him injured is when some jackass jump on his foot or land on him...so playing 40 minutes a night or 10 minutes a night is basically the same.

No championship teams are perfect. We already have a pretty good team. Let's just try to make things work as it is and not get too greedy.

The Rockets don't play well at home b/c the crowd, other than the rowdies, SUCK MONKEY BALLS. It was even was mentioned in the game recap. I'll give fans a pass b/c of the Texas/Tech game, but THAT'S IT. We won't have a very good home record with such a WEAK crowd.

agreed. over the long haul, if you play down to your opponents' level, you're not a contender team.

i expect this team to have a 20pts lead late in the 4th at least 7 out of 10 times when facing a really weak team like the thunders. the season just began, they still have plenty of time to make that happen.

It happens. Just look at the Celtics tonight who were losing to Indiana in the fourth quarter by 25.

Road games are much more enjoyable to watch, b/c we don't have to see and hear the lame ass crowd. It's like kryptonite to my body.
