We will not win a Championship with Brooks starting and McGrady sitting. We need Tracy McGrady 100% physically and mentally to be any chance.

I'll give Brooks credit for the awesome game. But he needs to have more of these. He had about 5 games where he was shooting worse than Rafer, wasn't being aggressive, and wasn't stopping anyone.

6 people praised Hayes for his D on KG, including you, before I post. He deserves much more love IMO.

I was going to point this out as well. Chuck's defense on Garnett was a huge part of what sparked our team. It's always hilarious when these guys try to back Chuck down for 10 seconds and don't get an inch closer to the basket, Chuck is like an oak tree out there, you can't move him.

Ummm...the Rockets played last night also.

Call it bad defense, poor shooting by opponent or whatever, but the bottom line is this: The Celtics have 3 ALL STARS (not 2, wanna be 3), played at home, and just like the Rockets, needed a win badly.

Yao was spectacular, but a lot of players brought their A game and deserv props.

This is exactly my thought. This team can be very good without
Tracy. When Tracy FULLY recovers, we can compete with anyone
    in any night.

If Yao can be that tough, I do not mind Yao get fouled out a few times during the season.

no way ! when t-mac in , i guess yao will out or yao will reserve himself ,why only t-mac can reserve ?rockets lose .
next game t-mac will out ,yao should stand up ,rockets will have little chance .
so there is no way a steak win happen, yao ,atest ,scolar ,,,neednt answer for it ,it is due to T-mac

I don't think it is a lucky win. The Rox allowed only 11 points by the Celtics in the last quarter and it is a defense effort. I think Ron Artest and Chuck Hayes made the defense difference.

TMac will not get to be 100%. Didn't you see how different the team plays nowadays without TMac. The D is much better and for some reason Artest brings a fire to the team that spreads to the rest of the team. It seems lately that when TMac plays it is the reverse. There must be more going on behind the scenes like Doc Rocket has stated in another thread.

Good game won against a good opponent! They needed this in the worst way.

The state of the team is strange to say the least right now. Not sure who I believe and what just sounds like a good story.

Guess that he is saying T-MAC is the reason.

At this time, I am not sure if he can be the starter. BUT, he should be on the
floor in the final quarter. He gives us a SECOND OPTION in offense. Make the
defense to think. Going to Yao all the time does not cut it. It's too easy for
    the other team.
    Anyway, great win!

I think it's because of the question whether we can rely on Alston to be a good backup PG to Brooks. Yes, a scary thought indeed. You thought Alston is bad when starting, he'll be even worse playing with the second unit with no Yao to mask his deficiencies. A backup PG is meant to be a lightning plug, a quick change of pace, and is usually more of a scorer than a game manager. I agree that Brooks is a better fit in the starting lineup, but do you honestly believe playing Rafer as a backup point will make things better? Best way is to trade Rafer to some dumb team for a average point guard.

How do you like that ? You must love that...

    Celtics --3 losing streak
end of 14 home-court winning streak
    Rockets--end of 3 losing streak
    Defeat the Champion
