Those are the kind of wins that build character! I loved it, hard fought 4th quarter comeback. In the past we would have just laid down, but the team is maturing and we showed that today.

The biggest play of the game was the play where Chuck Hayes took the charge. The Rockets were up 87-85 and had that been a foul on the other end, then Brandon Roy more than likely makes the two foul shots and we're tied going into OT. So kudos to him. Also for Shane Battier making those TIMELY threes. He's definitely a great asset to the Rockets when we just knocks down the open shots off the screens and off the passes in transition.

Ron Artest needs to drive to the basket more often. When he does that, good things always happen like getting to the line or even an easy dunk. He has that ability to muscle his way into the lane or take his man off the dribble in penetrating to the basket due to his body type. Build but his legs are lean and long. If the defense gets him in a tight spot, he needs to just pass it up. Too often he dribbles right around three point line for five seconds before hoisting up a low percentage three point attempt. He hurts the team doing this. But he has his moments to and it feels good to be up 3-1. Rockets need to have a strong start in game 5(at least win the first quarter) because Portland will come out having everything to play for and staving off elimination.

wow artest was 5-20 but he had 9 assists.

it was weird though he took 20 shots? it didnt seem like he took that many a lot of times he missed some layups underneath but got his own rebound and put it in?

outside of 2-3 possessions I thought ron actually played a very controlled game on offense

What an UNBELIEVABLE win!!! I thought I was about to have a heart attack during the 4th. I like how they have broken some bad trends for the franchise. They finally won a game 4 and also demonstrated that they can now come from behind to win a game in the 4th quarter. Now lets win again so we can get to the 2nd round! Its so exciting to see guys step up like they did.

Last two games have been great, gutsy wins. Shane has played especially in games 3 & 4. This type of solid play needs to continue. I like how the Rockets are crashing the boards. They need to continue that. Shooting needs to improve, especially ft shooting. They better practice fts during practice, especially Brooks. Stay humble and stay hungry and end it in Portland in game 5. Do not give this team anymore life.

This team can leave you completely freaked out at the end, but as long as they win, who cares?

Just watching the game again in Calgary, they show the game on tape on the NBA channel after the game goes off TNT. The Brandon Roy 3 after Shane's 3 from the top of the key was 2. I amazed that they didn't change it even though they reviewed it for like 2 minutes. Horrible officiating.

Brooks/Lowry - Gentlemen it's called a FREE throw for a reason. Great job by Yao of not forcing position and moving to get better position and making them pay.

What a game!!!! A ugly win many say, but hell you must be able to win ugly to advance in the playoffs. If you can't win ugly then the other team will and your out. Most games are not blow outs, and they go down to the wire. For example, today 3 of the games were decided by 3 or less points.

    lol @ adelman.

(when asked those missed ft's) - it's a game of mistakes and players miss ft's sometimes. it just happens. (blah blah blah)

    and then -

"we missed one when it counted." :D (referring to lowry's last ft)

that lowry's miss was a perfect miss, though. it hit the neck of the hoop and then jumped high and takes a half second of clock with it. much better than a hard hit at the front of the rim.

We have a 50% chance to win in Portland for game 5. 98% to win game 6 at home. JMO

I picked rockets in 6 from the beginning. but I'll take 5.

I don't want to start a stupid thread, like some of you yahoos.

My question is simple, please answer:

Is Portland to young of a team? Are they so young that they will be giving balls out in game 5? Facts are facts. If it comes back to Houston in game 6, we win. My first pick on this series was Houston in 6.

Tell me about game 5? Every game, excluding game 1, was close.

Both wins in Houston were ugly, but who cares? AB needs to get his confidence back before game 5 or lowry needs to play extensive minutes. He was afraid to shoot until that three in the 3rd quarter.

Ron's shot is off, but he's being asked to do a ton of both ends of the floor. He's running a lot of the offense and chasing Roy most of the night. Nine assists says a lot. I hope he's a Rocket no matter what next year. This team's heart and toughness in close games is a direct reflection of his personality.

As for Shane and Hayes, those guys just make winning plays. They did it again tonight. Landry was MIA in the first half, but had huge energy and rebounds in the 4th. Wafer was solid, and Scola and Yao did what you expect out of them. Kyle Lowry's rebounding in the 4th was special as well.

Now it's time to slam the door on the young blazers. Hopefully it happens Tuesday, but if not in game 6.

We shot 40% from the field and 64% from the line and still won, wow!
