Tough to win games when the shots aren't falling. Rockets did a hell of a job trying to charge (get it?) their way to a victory, but it just wasn't their night. Kind of sucks that this happened on such an important night, but oh well. The Rockets are basically in a win-win situation right now. Small chance to make the playoffs and possibly make the Lakers work their asses off to get out of the first round, or get a pretty good draft pick in the first round. It's all good, in my opinion.
I wish AB was a better set up PG. I like AB, but if his shot is not falling he does nothing else to help the team stay afloat. No assists, no steals ,and no drawing fouls to get to the FT line. Adelman even said that at the beginning of the year that brooks needed to learn to use his speed to get into the lane and find other players. To create better. Im sure he will keep working on that. Oh well, no Battier, no Hill late in the game, and no shots falling will make it tough to beat anyone. They fought hard so can't ask for anything else.
Uhmm, are you talking about our draft pick if we don't make the playoffs!? .... if a team doesn't make the playoffs, they automatically get a top 14th pick(lottery pick).... --RB
This game made me angry, I'm sorry to have had the misfortune of spending 3 hrs watching crappy, boring basketball. I mean what was that PoS third quarter about? And how come we can ratchet up the intensity when we need to, like that 4th quarter run, but we suck the rest of the second half? Seems to me like we're not trying to really have a shot at that 8th seed. This is the freaking Bulls! For someone who has supported the team the whole season, watching almost all the games, I have to say we didn't deserve to win this one, and we don't deserve to play LA in the playoffs. So many heart-wrenching ups and downs in the second half of the season... and they started out as one of my all-time favorite Rockets teams.
Take a deep breath dude, their jumpers weren't falling. That alone will screw up any team. Even the best, only reason the Rockets made that late rally was because the Bulls got complacent. Did you notice out of the timeout they took it right back to us after our little comeback? It's all good dude....it's all good
From chronicle. the Rockets lost Jared Jeffries with a strained left Achilles late in the third quarter and Jordan Hill with a sprained left ankle early in the fourth.
Look, I understand it's not the end of the world, it's not like we were going to win anything this season anyways. But it's well worth it to try and make the playoffs for development's sake; that is no longer a possibility. The best teams have a way of finding ways to win, especially against bad teams, even when the shots aren't there. And it's not just that they weren't falling, they were embarrassingly far from counting as points. In spite of the injuries, I think they're better than this. I guess not. We'd better get help in the off-season.
