Artest carried the team through 3 quarters. Yao redeemed himself with shut-down defense on Duncan in the clutch and two beautiful assists to Scola!

Everytime a team fronts Yao they foul the crap out of him, next time just watch how physically aggressive they are towards him and how much it is called, if ever. It's horrible they will just grab and push him the entire possession when they front him.

Props to Scola, Artest and Lowry.

After a miserable first half, Yao played very well in 2nd half. 4/4, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 0 TOs, defended Duncan as well as anybody could, holding him to something like 2/12 for 6 points.

Just gritty win from the start the Rox wanted this game more and in the end we got it by the thinnest of margins(Parker's shot just off the front of the rim)

Just a great win, Rox almost choked it away once the Spurs began fronting, but they fought and fought and they are going to have to bring this toughness and grit to Utah.

It's going to be extremely hard to rebound against the Jazz WITHOUT LANDRY.

Has anyone noticed that ever since Landry injury we've been getting killed on the boards it seems. Man I wanna shoot the guy that shot him

I don't like to complain after a victory, BUT 7 shots for your star player is just not excusable. I know you guys said he was fronted, but the coach has got to make plays for him to get open. In the playoffs we can't make such an excuse..... anyway enough of the negativity, the Rockets are firing on all cylinders, nice to see. I wish my other team will become this good one day.....

what about the role of battier in crunch time? he drained that 3 with the rockets down by 6 and the game about to slip out of their hands, and then his hustle drew a jump ball with duncan.

also, glad to see we didn't go down to an artest iso in crunch time. overall, he played a very solid game, not disrupting the flow of the offense significantly.

It makes it so that Yao has to guard Duncan on one end of the court, but Duncan doesn't have to guard him. However, on the offensive end, Thomas is a very very solid post defender, which makes it hard for Yao to put up big numbers.

If refs called correctly, Thomas would have been fouled out in 1st half.
