Yao really pissed me off in the 1st half. But great defense and passes by Yao in 4th quarter. Ron carried us and Luis is player of the game.

strongly agree, but it might be aN even bigger test coming up soon when we facing UTAH.

Still, guard is our weakness for sure, but prop to Scola and Yao.\

    Rockets Rule!!!

Everyone needs to give it up to the Rockets fans that were in attendance. They were just as loud as the Spurs croud and kept cheering our guys from start to finish. Great game for the Rockets and the Rockets faithful!!!

AB's answer: never look for Yao with fronting defense. Never swing the ball around to get Yao open.

great game despite yao's thoroughly lackluster performance... everyone has off nights i know but when he wasn't even trying to get open at a point in the 4th i was screaming at my tv...so frustrating

It looks like Alston sucks to make AB better, and AB sucks to make Lowry better. Be patient, case by case, sometimes w need AB so much :)

    clyde is funny dude

he totally lost it and after he said "yes" he went back to his usual boring tone which made sounded like it wasn't him that was screaming.

My grade for the team on this game:

    Yao Ming: C+
The fronting issue is still a problem, our offense was actually sputtering trying to get the ball to Yao in the 4th. Yao was pushed around by Kurt Thomas too easily, even if KT was using illegal tactics at times. Being outrebounded by your fellow starting PF by more then twice your output never looks good, being outscored by him also when you're suppose to be numero uno option on offense also doesn't look good. Still, he assisted those 2 crucial passes to Scola to help seal the win. He defended Duncan as well as I hoped for, let him have those J's and blocked him a couple of times.

    Luis Scola: A++++++++++
The dude was a beast against the team that drafted him. You can tell he plays with a chip on his shoulder when he plays against the Spurs.

    Shane Battier: C+
Was a ghost until he hit that crucial 3 late in the 4th qtr to start our comeback. Him and Mason pretty much canceled each other out. I can't remember who was guarding Udoka most of the time so I'll give him a pass for Udoka going off for 16 pts.

    Ron Artest: A
Picked up the scoring slack since Yao struggled in this game to get going. Played within himself for the most part, not alot of ISO dribbling around and crazy shots, and the few he did take went in tonight.

    Aaron Brooks: D
Tony Parker abused him and he gave almost nothing on the offense to make TP work on D until he hit that late 4th qtr jumper for the lead.

    Chuck Hayes: A
Made hustle plays and stripped a few balls, sound interior D as usual, made a few layups which is gravy.

    Von Wafer: C
    Didn't really do much tonight.

    Kyle Lowry: B+
His defense on TP was much better then AB, he drove to the basket as usual with good results most of the time. Hit a couple of jumpshots, a steal and a nice block on Gooden. Nice bounce pass to Brent for revers layup.

    Brent Barry: B
Nice reverse layup on Lowry pass. Good fouls to stop a fastbreak and Duncan rolling to basket for sure 2.

    Adelman: B+
Nice adjustment to go with the high pick and fade of AB and Yao after we couldn't get any results when Yao was fronted. Adelman is showing alot of faith in AB even when he is getting toasted. I can understand Adelman going with AB to close out tight games because AB is suppose to have a more reliable outside J, and the offense/defense platoon he had going at the end of the game for Lowry and AB.

I'm going by memory mostly and what I felt as I watched the game, so don't look for a scientific exact analysis. Feel free to post your own grades.

What a win... I had to work as a temporary labourer (as a favour for someone) from 6.30am this morning, getting the scores updated only through ESPN mobile site... What a nail biter! Longest 1 second at the end, indeed!

Go Rockets! Go Scola! Go everyone!
