Kobe will get 20 a night with all that and more. As bad as Utah is for Yao,he can at least have some chance against them because of their 1 on 1 defense for the most part.

Houston, really should improve this, because other teams in later rounds are going to catch on to this. If Yao doesn't average at least 20-10, there's no way we get past any of the other teams who we'll likely face.

The solution to the constant double-team on yao is a PF who can shoot. When Scola is on, that's what we have and it's a big reason we won tonight.

seriously let's stop blaming this on adelman. we tried to get yao the ball 3 straight times when he entered back into the 2nd quarter and 2 of those became turnovers.

we've gone through this with 2 coaches in JVG and adelman. fronting yao is something yao has to solve himself by either being more aggressive, or developing something else to his game to negate it.

there has never been a star who can easily be negated with a simple defense, a strategy EVERYONE knows is coming.

maybe you need to tell your sister that you don't know jack about basketball. What do you want him to do? push the guy? He is not allow to pull a chair on his player because that is a offensive foul. If the other player establish a position on him that is all he can do. Do you one your only 7 footer out of the game because of fouls.

In the first half, the Rockets did a good job of taking advantage of the space created from Portland's fronting Yao strategy by playing through Scola and Landry. If they continue to use one center to front Yao with second player behind him, Scola got to realize that he should try to avoid getting into foul trouble. His 4th foul that forced him to the bench almost costs the game.

    we can be better.

We have to learn how to control the game. we lead about 15 points. but we lose control in the second half.

We have to work on passing the ball to Yao when there is fronting. We can't give up the best weapon, It is stupid to say just let Yao to grab rebounds.
If we wanna move foward in the next series or next season. we need to learn a way.

BTW. Game 3 is the best of AB . he doesn't need to score 30, Rockets needs his score and his passes. With AB's improvement of his passes, Scola finally, scored 17 points.

Rockets shouldn't forget the Captain and MVP of Argentina

You've got to credit the Trailblazers' defense against Yao. They are probably the tallest team in the league. It's not like didn't work his butt off out there. You saw when Yao tried to be more aggressive on the offensive end they called two cheap fouls on him. He's so important on defense, especially with Deke out, that he will just have persevere and fight through this. I think Yao will have a big game four.

I am surprised no here has given Ron Artest any credit. Although he didn't score a lot, he played solid defense and made shots when it count. Most of all, he played smart, hard team basketball. No mistakes. Great Job Artest!

Game 4 will be a key game for us. If we lose, then it's going to be tough for the Rockets to get back. Lets end the weekend with a 'WIN'!!!!

Yeah the original open guy will usually be Scola or Landry. That showed in the 1st half.

Portland adjusted and kind of changed up the front in the 2nd half so that Scola and Landry wasn't as wide open.

They key to beating the front is ball movement.

Do you know who we really miss...TMAC...that what stop the fronting right there..having Tmac on the floor..that's what were missing...Tmac was very good at getting Yao easy shots....rembemer the pick and roll lob play...that was almost unstoppable..and he also knew how to repost Yao..Brooks & Artest give up too easily....hope he's healthy next year..
