When did I cuss at you? I'm asking you what your only 7ft player to do that won't cost him to foul out?

    which one is better?

A: Yao spends 10 second fighting a position, the whole team spends 20 seconds swing the ball before it reaches Yao, and then Yao shoots a contested jumper, and we have a extremely tired in the fourth cannot do anything on both ends.

    Or
B: Scola/Landry shoots a open jumper and Yao saves alot energy

A was the JVG ball which Yao got 25/12 and we were like the worst team in the whole NBA.

At least on TV, I saw many chances that Yao was on the open, yet all the people ignores him even blazers. I think blazers figure out hou's plan. This game, coach didn't come here to solve fronting problems. He came here to tell guys win the game. Although blazer's are called young, Hou didn't have any playoff win experience, so don't have any advantage on exp. Hou win this game, and young players must think they can win without yao in offense. For blazers maybe, but zero chance in second round.

You have to look at both sides, portland is hungry NOW, houston has been hungry for years, our hunger > their hunger......

Rafer would have missed 3/4 of those clutch FTs...then would have tried a clutch floater(like he did tonight for the magic) most likely missed it...

Brooks is winning more games for us than Rafer did.

Yao Ming's Immobility is the reason fronting is so effective against him..usually when a center is fronted..you lob the ball to the basket for an easy dunk ...Yao Ming can't do that... look what Shaq, Dwight Howard, Gasol do when there fronted they go to the basket for easy dunks...Rockets need to use motion pick n roll top of key jump shots for Yao or use him as decoy...so other players can't get shots..Rockets should be taking advantage of the fronting...look what we did in the first half..it worked perfectly...Blazers were leaving Scola and Landry were wide open...when you try to force the ball into Yao you are plaiying into the Blazers hands..

I really dont care how bad Yao struggles so long as we win, and so long that RA finds that he may find a lead guard who we can go at the end of games in AB. If he can find a way to consistently get into the paint and pull back and hit jumpers, I feel very confident in him as our future pg. Yao as a closer is a disaster, and should never happen. It didn't happen with Shaq, doesn't really happen with DHo, and it won't with Yao. Guards will win you games in the 4th, so long as they are not named Tracy McGrady.

JVG didn't have Scola and Landry. If JVG had a 4 can knock down jump shots. We would have been in WCF with healthy TMAC and Yao.

no i am not missing Rafer here, and not gonna talk about his intangible shoot either. all i want to say is his passing skill. a PG with decent vision and passing skill will make Yao's game a lot easy

    I agree.

This team is much more talented compared to couple years ago.

You win ugly in the playoffs most of the time. I'll take it, but the Rockets REALLY need to work on getting Yao more looks.
