OK! I'm dumb, but I really don't understand the "+/-" thing! Can someone 'splain to me how someone shoots 50% from the field, 100% FTs, grabs 10 boards and scores 22 points in 30 minutes is your worst player.
Battier's hurt & Deke's just signed and Hayes would have played another 7 minutes like Barry did. I'm not sure why Wafer wasn't used. I can only surmise that Adelman wanted to see Brooks & Alston together more.

That just means that during the time that Yao was in, the Bucks scored 8 more points than the Rockets did. Could be poor defense on Yao's or the team's part or it could be that a Buck's player just happened to be heating up while Yao was in or that everyone on the Rockets was cold while Yao was in. There are many reasons the (-8) happened.
Thank you bamtonio. My post was in response to JVG>Adleman claimming Yao was player of the game undisputed and calling everyone who didn't think so HATERS. What I meant to say was Bogut played pretty well against Yao. He was 5-8, had 9 boards, and forced Yao into foul trouble. Tmac always seems to give Yao the ball at were he's most effective scoring. Yao wasn't able to create much for himself today. I think at least some credit should be given to Tmac for Yao's 22pts. Overall Yao still had a good game but I don't think he was THE PLAYER OF THE GAME UNDISPUTED.
If JVG>Adelman says "player of the game" after every game, why can't you just let em be? Anyway...happy new year to all and to all a shut the hell up...cuz the Rockets actually WON.
According to Yao himself (Well, might just be a rumor): Bogut did not get fouled out early just because he is lucky.
Carl Landry 14 pts, 4 reb, 5-6 fg Charlie Villanueva 1 pt, 4, 0-6 fg i honestly can't believe anyone wanted to make this trade. i remember someone commenting that Villanueva could probly finish as good as Landry...my gosh, CV only missed 4 or 5 open layups
I am mainly curious about your name,"the fatted calf." Why did you pick it? I guess you knew about the place of the fatted calf in Hebrew history? In that context, you wouldn't really want to be the fatted calf.
The Rockets have to a have a better record than seven other teams in the Western Conference. That gets you the eighth spot.
it is from the Hebrew history, but its not because i want to be the fatted calf. i read the story when i was a kid and i thought that "fatted calf" sounded funny and i guess it just stuck with me
