Ab's Value seems to be going the wrong direction. We need to packaged him and Yao together while the kings still want him. Even if all we get is a trade exception and lotto picks.

I think the young guys like PPat and Twill will not be traded, they don't hold much value.

But if the Rockets hold onto Battier, Jeffries and Yao's contract that will be a failure of the nth degree by Morey.

It is time for him to trade those vets to contenders....and if someone is desperate for Kmart or Luis, he should listen to that too.

I guess when DM and Les said they were going to be predatory, they didn't realize they were actually going to be the prey.

I like watching Scola as well but anyone, but his defense is so bad that he makes Darko Milicic look like Pau Gasol.... Scola does not play defense. Watch him closer next game.

This team needs a new identity.

The only question I have is why do we stoop down to the level of competition we are up against, on the other hand play hardball when we play the contenders, but even then we get shut out at times.

You can't go out and say this was Brooks fault, the team defense at the end was just horrible seemed like they said "oh we are up by 19 we can let em shoot no harm in exchanging baskets".
You go up by 19 you don't stop you try to go up by 25!

This team is really hurting right now, AB seems to be bottling his emotions and most likely spilling them out to the disgruntled Twill.

Now you see why the Nuggs wanted the whole NJ trade fiasco to be private cause if nothing is happening it's only going to hurt your franchise.

I've got a feeling that when we start dangling Hill in trade talks, teams will ask for Patrick instead.

That is a great point. Having too many players that are below average on Defense does develop an identity. This is particularly troublesome when our 2 best players fit in this category, Martin and Scola. Our two top weapons off the bench fit in this category as well, AB and Bud.

I like Scola, and love his attitude, but I some changes are needed to compensate for what some of our other players are lacking.

I don't think we have to blow up our team to change the identity, it can be as simple as make 1 or 2 changes.

Which is why he was in the Dleague earlier this season and at the end of the bench. Pretty sure you are dead on with this one. Jordan Hill might be holding up multiple deals as we speak because of counter offers for pat instead.

This team really can not play half court. Every time Rockets slow down to run the clock out at last couple minutes, they are giving the advatage to the other team to have chance to make a comeback. Maybe they should keep running all the way to the end of game.

I agree that there might only need on or two moves, but Scola cannot exist without a very good defensive center and shot blocker.

But it all starts with dribble penetration that gets guys like Hill in foul trouble quick. Scola is the worst at guarding dribble penetration when he has to switch out there on defense. Martin, oddly enough hasn't been as bad as many on here might think.

On the local news here in MN they just got to sports. They led off with a foot injury to Gopher's PG Al Nolen, then to a story criticizing the players who criticized Jay Cutler, then a report on Tony Dungy signing autographs at the Mall of America and finally to the T-Wolves. They called Kevin Martin Kenyon Martin and mentioned how the T-Wolves forgot how to play D, apparently so have the Rockets (my own comment). The sportscaster ended by holding his hands straight up and saying "come on guys try doing this once in awhile."

Hate to say it because I don't want to strike up this debate again but God I miss Landry in the fourth quarter. He was the one player we had that was so good in half court post up plays in the fourth quarter.

Aaron Brooks on firing the ball at KLove in last minute with lead slipping away: “He slapped me in my face and I felt it was intentional."

It was entertaining; not what you expect at a professional level, but reasonably fun to watch, kind of like a rec game. The Rockets and the Texans are very much alike; if they could play defense that would be in the playoffs. And I don't care what anyone says, KMart is a stud. He may be somewhat one dimensional, but what he does (SHOOT) he does very well. On a first rate team he would be money. Chuck impresses me more and more; I am amazed he can hang with the trees.

Try it see what wonders it works for you.

And I can't believe you actually thought that was a dirty play on Loves part. Those kind of hits always happen, even after AB threw the ball at him love was like chill out bro. Like I said in the game thread I'd probably shove the Lil mofo, or thrown the ball back at him, but Love showed the type of player he is.
