I don't think it is his contract, I think it is that he lost his job to injury....and Kyle is not exactly lighting it up.... Which is ironic, if AB would just put his head down and work, he probably earns that job back...11 pts and 6 assists while shooting 40% shouldn't be that hard to overcome, that is Raferiffic ! DD
Love was the guy on the losing team, and many other players in his position would have done something stupid when having the ball thrown back at him like that. He did a great job keeping his poise.
They didnt set an expiration date on it. The league gives them 45 days to use it. The 31st will be the 45th day from injury or when they knew he was done. Carl, Bima, or Clutch can explain it better
Kevin Love is not a dirty player. His momentum swung his arm down and his hand hit Aaron's face I don't blame AB for being upset, but he it wasn't a dirty play.
Neither was throwing the ball off his hip.....just lost his cool there, if AB was really mad he would have thrown it at his head, ala Ainge etc. DD
Love's hit was incidental, AB should know when you roam in the paint and hack a big man, sometimes you will get smacked accidentally or not, it comes along with the territory. AB should put his big boy pants on, if he has any.
I have know idea how you can keep your head in the sand on the Kyle and AB comparisons. Kyle has been an extremely valuable player, beyond statistical measurements. If you have played basketball and watched it for any length of time it is easy to see how much more he brings to our team than AB. AB is not a starting PG, he is a 20 minute bench microwave. He does not make players around him better, and has too many holes in his game. This team will be in bad shape if AB goes back to starting or playing starter minutes.
I can not recall ever feeling this way about the team after a win...is anyone else getting that BLAH feeling? And the team won...lol...bizzare. DD
His contract will be a result of his performance in this contract season and the market. I know not extending him by Rockets management was controversial but it's team policy and he still has half of a season to earn his contract. It could be that he is mad about his contract but probably he is just all around pissed about the way this season has gone for him in general. Losing his starting job, the ankle injury, and don't forget his poor play as of late. As for Jordan Hill.... Uhhhhh.... Frustrating to watch. He needs another offseason to learn the NBA better, and yes maybe even. Trip to the D League if they make a move for more depth at the center position.
So him throwing the ball at Love's hip was just him being frustrated. Right. He didn't throw it at Love's head because he was a coward and knew he would have gotten midget stomped.
Guys, the circumstances with Yao's injury history or whether the league thinks we "deserve" it have nothing to do with it. The CBA governs this situation. Due to the timing of the injury, the Rockets only have 45 days after discovering the injury during which to use it. Sure, official league approval took a while, but the team was preparing as if they had it all along.
Really?? I mean...REALLY? So AB wasn't really mad thats why he only threw it off his hip and not at his head. Do you really think that?
I hear ya, I don't agree, I believe it is a chemistry issue, or rathe complimentary skillsets etc. I think Lowry works better with guys who like to run....and is excellent in transition, I think AB works better with players who understand spacing and can catch and shoot. But, whatever, that argument is tired.....I don't think either one is playing particularly well.... Kyle is playing better, but he doesn't look as good this year as a starter as he was last year off the bench.....to me. DD
Didn't that have to do with WHEN it was discovered, like if it was Nov 20th it was for a year, but after it was for 45 days? The Rox tried to say one thing and the league ruled the other, right? DD
There is no doubt that he knew throwing the ball at his hip was a smarter move than at his head.....lol. He lost his cool, got hit in the nose.....it happens....BFD. DD
I like seeing that side of Books, I find it quite entertaining when players go at each other rather than just walking away like a sissy
