Glad to see the guys getting some confidence and chemistry going for a change. Right now a lot of the guys (Lowry, Miller, Scola, Battier) are being asked to play outside their intended roles with Yao and AB out of the line up. It's taking them a little while to 'find it' but the last two games they seemed to have found it. I can't wait for the regular (intended) rotation to be available and playing together. We are going to be a pretty good squad.
Wow, that's terrible for Grizz fans. Is that because of some mandatory blackout policy if they sell too few tickets to the game? Because on TV, the arena looked only a third full for this game.
True, but he only took 2 shots. I guess everyone else was shooting so good that he didn't get too many looks or any chance at easy put backs like he has shown to get because of the good shooting.
J.Hill was pretty bad tonight. He had a few defensive stops and a couple beast rebounds, but aside from that, he wasn't contributing at all. Also, people need to stop hating on AB. The first five games, the entire team was under performing and Adelman had no idea what his rotations were. We played some of the top teams in the league and Monta Ellis on a night where he was ridiculously hot. All the games were very closely contested, and individually, AB was solid. I realize that these are excuses, but they're legitimate ones. I think AB deserves a chance to prove himself before Kyle takes over the job. That's just ridiculous. Did AB inspire laziness last season, when our team played their butts off? What about 2 seasons ago when we took the Lakers to 7 games minus our two biggest pieces? Does Tony Parker inspire laziness because he's a shoot-first PG? I'm all for loving on Lowry, but people don't have to bash AB in the process. We haven't seen him play for 4 weeks, so we forget what he brings to the table. He needs a chance to remind everyone why he won the starting job in the first place, and I'm glad Rick is going to give him that chance. If he can't, then we have a more than capable replacement, and he can be our beast off the bench.
I've noticed our offense is doing a lot better these days. There's a lot more movement by everyone, which is freeing people up and creating havoc for the opposing defenses. I noticed this in the Lakers game where they were struggling to scramble to recover on their rotations.
Offense was great, but the defense was poor. The perimeter defense was fine for the most part, but we were getting killed inside. Scola, Hill, and even Chuck did poor jobs on defense tonight. I hope all three guys do much better against Chicago.
He played good "D" for the most part and grabbed some boards. You know he played pretty good because Adelman let him stay out there instead of pulling him quick. Off Topic but how good would Marc Gasol look in a Rox uniform? 20 points, 7 boards, 5 dimes, 2 steals and 3 blocks...
Very interesting observation. I still believe Yao should be coming off the bench for his 24 and play all of his minutes in the bonus so we can maximize his efficiency.
Thanks for the responses. Hopefully we can build on this win. The season isn't lost yet; lots of basketball to be played.
Great Game guys.. watch the game earlier Looks Like courtney Lee finally has shown some Potential.. now im concern about Chase productivity...
We just witnessed potential energy being converted to kinetic energy, personified and on a group scale. Here's to hoping the boulder is big, the hill is long, and it keeps on rolling.
Didn't think you were. It just must be tough for a team to build up a fanbase if they can't even get their games televised locally.
I think every one has to win the right to start. AB and Yao have to fight to get a chance to start. it should not be automatic.
You deleted the part of my comment where I suggested that AB be our scoring spark off the bench. AB as a starter inspires laziness because all the players know he's going to take the shot because usually, he is the best shooter on the floor, and he'll use his speed to take the ball to the basket instead of kick it out, or dribble the ball around the court for 20 secs and then shoot the ball himself. AB by himself didn't lead the rockets to anything in the lakers series--we had Artest's tough D, Wafer's hot bench shooting, and Yao's presence up until his injury Tony parker is a more complete player than brooks in just about everything, the comparison is moot. Parker knows how to use his speed and size--AB just goes full tilt and plays out of control expecting to get a foul when he's driving to the basket, which he usually does not get.
This board really hates when people compare AB to Parker. No problem with comparing Lowry to Rondo though. Interesting.
