Very quiet night for Patterson. Offensively he seemed to defer to his teammates, and they weren't looking to set him up in the post or for his usual mid-range jumpers. The second unit strategy seemed to be about letting the perimeter guys get theirs, attacking from the outside-in, which may be why Patterson ended up with 4 assists.

Defensively, he looked like he had a bit of trouble guarding the Cavs' backup PF Samuels one-on-one, who seemed pretty quick on his feet. Maybe Patterson was a little fatigued from playing big minutes the night before.

On a positive note, even when he struggles, Patrick doesn't get flustered and just does not get into foul trouble. Adelman's got to be happy with how smart the rookie plays the game.
