No big deal. Adelman gave the Lowry/Brooks backcourt some time with I believe Lee at SF. Budinger's minutes went down because the team went small ball, not because he was stinking it up. I know Adelman likes that 2-PG backcourt a lot, so I look for Bud's minutes to take a hit whenever it gets used.
Good game. The Rockets are starting to have the feel for each other and Adelman has found the right combos. It is going to be interesting, I hope, from here on.
I don't understand why people are so happy when a player performs badly. You realize that the worse he performs, the less attractive he becomes to other teams, right? Besides, Brooks isn't going anywhere. Sure, he had a bad night, but we already know what he brings to the table. He's decently clutch performer and deadeye shooter on a team that essentially lives and dies by the 3. He's a Rocket, people. There is absolutely NO reason for you to be rooting for him to fail. (unless he slept with your wife or something. If so, happy bashing.)
I'd play defense for half a mil. I don't understand what's so difficult about the concept of switching on a pick and roll or even just going back to your man after the pick instead of double teaming the ball handler, leaving Scola's man WIDE OPEN in an empty lane a couple of times in the fourth quarter. I love Scola's offensive game, but his defense is just horrid.
First Post Here, Im a Huge Rockets Fan and this is what i have to say Agreed i belive if scola produced a good defense, the rockets would be a 2cd round playoff team everytime around
Great game. 9 of the 10 players contributed in their own ways. Bud the odd man out. He cannot seem to do anything right. I actually feel a bit sorry for him. That being said, he is the only player I would not mind seeing traded - but who could use him/want him? Last night showed again how the guys have really, finally gelled playing together - and I think it centers around Lowry. Therefore, I really worry about further trades/the Yao exemption. I don't want to lose what we have built and have other bodies in the rotation that will take time to gel. AB is having a rough time getting back in sync and he knows the system. It takes new players time to fit in - if they even do. If the players we currently have play from now on like they have played past nights I know we can make it to the playoffs. Call me a homer, but I love this team/recent rotations - our gutsy, classy players. Please no trades that would screw this up!
