Why are people complaining about a win? Would you all have been happier if the Rockets had lost against Minnesota? So what if Minnesota is not good, the Rockets still got the W.

No such thing as a meaningless win during season play. All these games have implications. We'll need at least fifty wins this season just to make the playoffs. Fifty some if we want to avoid a real tough first round match-up.

My reasoning is based on Morey's pattern of managing assets more than whether Ish can ever surpass AB in contribution (which I wouldn't preclude at this point). Morey is into rookie contracts and max contracts and will fill in veteran's contracts only where necessary. He's stated on multiple occasions that he likes the value in rookie and max contracts.

With Morey committing 6 mil per already on Lowry and the amount that AB probably looks to command at least 6 mil with a ceiling of around 8 mil, depending on how the new CBA looks, I don't see why Morey would look to pay as much as 14 mil (which could be around 33% of the new salary cap depending on how badly the NBAPA negotiates) on a position that doesn't have elite talent. 8 mil is an awful lot of dough to throw at a PG that can't guard a significant chunk of the other PGs in the league. Given the significant defensive liabilities of an AB-Martin backcourt, I can't see how they can justify keeping AB and not starting a PG with better defense.

All Ishmael needs to show is that he's a serviceable point guard that can guard and distribute. He's on a really cheap contract, which would be a bargain if he can just be decent. I'm not claiming Ish to be the next Rondo. All he would need to be is serviceable

So a friend of mine calls me up last minute to say she has an extra ticket to the game tonight. Sweet! We get there and valet park where the players park. Walk right into the building and there's Darko and Love stretching! Walk a little further to our suite where there's unlimited free drinks. SWEET! Go to our seats and we're only SIX ROWS back! Not too shabby. Oh yeah, when it's time to leave, we get outside and there's our car...ready to go! There's really no other way to see a game. I fear I've been ruined for the rest of the games I go to..

Long story short, if you guys want to continue winning, let's start a collection so I can keep getting bad-ass seats. I'm good luck. Or.. We could keep playing the Timberwolves..

Also, I called Rockets by 27, 115-88. Not a shabby guess, if I do say so myself.

    Without AB, Rockets won eventually.

Just to state the obvious, Rockets would have won with AB playing.

Im amazed as to how well Ish can get into the paint under so much control and balance, if he can develop a jump shot, he'll put himself into a position to make some serious money down the road.

Well the dream of a 0-82 season and a place in basketball history is ruined, but there may still be hope of a record of some sort.

Seriously, the Rockets are not as bad as their record reflects, and I expect a serious rebound. The talent is there, just not jelled. Unfortunately, unless the injury curse abates, it may never jell. If the Rockets are not the most injury plagued team in the league, they are close to it.
