who cares if they count them right. We know that Yao changes shots - for example: Steve Nash's final shot. No block but I assure you that Nash changed his shot when he saw Yao. All I want is the W.
I think we had two other guys before him that was supposed to do that job... one is recovering from microfracture now, that other guy they traded for is playing pretty better with Battier than he did with the microfracture guy. There is a shorter mohawk guy, too, who plays the wing, but coach prefers having Battier, it seems.
The mohawk guy needs to learn some pretty basic basketball. If you're on a two on one, you DO NOT run to the 3 point line. A 80% chance at a 2 beats a 40% chance at a 3. I can't believe that hasn't been drilled into him earlier.
Landry played great also....he seems to always fly under the radar.. I swear...some of you guys could f**k up a wet dream....The kids shott 55% from the field had the winning drive of the game with NO turnovers in the 4th quarter....3 ast?..he would have had 3 or more assist if scola and shane sand ron didnt brick certain outside shots...
Yeh its pretty crazy how people are down about brooks performance last night. Nash carved him up but he kept fighting back. Thats the sign of a good player. Also. He took 20 shots and I'm sure that was part of the game plan. Everyone knows that to beat the suns you have to involved nash and shaq in pick and rolls, and you need a PG that can score. If we didnt go down to Yao so many times, I would have been okay with AB taking 30 shots or more.
I agree...stopping that pick and roll was not easy, because if you go behind the pick, then nash hits you for 3...if you in front then he drives to the lane and hit you for 2....nobody could have stopped nash last night, but himself.. what did people want him to do?...Force it to yao when he was covered? Pass it to shane and wait for a lost possession?
Overplaying to the side the pick is coming forcing Nash to go the other way is one type of defense. Trapping the guy with the guy whose man is setting the pick is another. Switching the pick still another. It is not Rockets science. DD
Not that great a game, but props to Yao for some really nifty passing inside. Now let's extend that to the FT line!
Late in the game, yes.......why not........ignore Shaq rolling to the hole, what is Nash going to do? DD
split the double team. Yao isnt quick enough to come out there and trap a ball handler of nashs calibur. I think you just have to take your chances with Nash hitting those little floaters or the 3 point shot.

nash was lucky yesterday...hitting all of those jump shot....but aeros was the real deal...dude got all of his points from lay-up
My friend and I were pretty psyched for this game. It's always a fast-paced, fun game when the Suns come to town. He'd gotten a couple upper deck tickets from his usual broker, but when we entered Toyota Center before tipoff, we just walked straight down to the corporate seats and sat down. We were in the 7th row in the corner across from the Rockets' bench. I recommend this to all diehard Rockets fans with a set of balls; there were a ton of empty seats in the lower bowl as usual, even for a fun game like this one. Casual interest in the team across town is minimal right now. Just don't pull out your ticket and act "as if..." The urshers aren't going to look at you twice as long as you play it cool. By getting more hardcore fans down low, we can try to have more games when the atmosphere is as exciting as Friday. Someone else basically threw those tickets away and I was glad to fish 'em out of the garbage. Overall I still think the Toyota Center experience is great. Yao put up a couple REAL weak shots but he had a couple good blocks and some nifty passing. Phoenix used a soft double against him with Nash when Shaq was in the game, which was part of the reason Brooks was able to go wherever he wanted. Nash and Grant Hill would both swipe for the ball every time Yao made a move to the middle. He was the entire defensive focus. When Shaq went out of the game, they bodied Yao up with a double team as soon as he received the ball. It appeared Lowry is developing some nice chemistry with Yao. He might be the best option to have on the floor when the team is trying to pound away down low with Yao. We saw a couple sick dunks from Shaq and Richardson and Landry had a nice one. Nash was carving us up for a while, but it was AB who had the winning shot. Fun to watch.
He had a great game, but this is a question for him Lowry and Adelman. How can a guy that was 6 for 8 the first half of the game is 0 for 1 in the second? They gave him a shot and considered he had cooled off?? Guess who is the guy on the Rockets i am talking about.
