Great win by Rox. Lowry was huge, he is probably my favorite Rockets player. Very funny when Chase had that "flat tire" and blocked himself. Chase = Tmac 2.0
NBA broadband should change the REPLAY SOON link to say, GO TO BED, WE'RE NOT UPDATING THIS UNTIL MORNING.

That was an awesome victory for the Rockets and just what this board needed. No need to panic. The Rockets have had a brutal schedule that's been road-heavy and western conference loaded. And they're 6 games over .500 and only a game out of home court. This is going to be a volatile race down to the finish. We started out #9 today and wound up #6. What's amazing to me is the Southwestern Division. All 5 teams are above .500, which is pretty damn rare to happen this late in the season. And who has the best division record of those teams? The Rockets. The team that usually bombs the early portion of their division games is 5-4 and currently owns the tie break over all the teams in the division.
6th now it seems. Thanks Chicago. We need to keep up the tempo and the energy out there. The guys looked like they were enjoying themselves, even Ariza.
Hey scribo noticed something... you have the tiebreak as final for the OKC thieves but have we still have two games against them (just wanted to let you know!
we are 3-0 against them and so even if OKC wins then last 2 we still are 3-2 and hence guarantee the tiebreaker
Dont we only have 1 game left against the Thieves? We played 3 already? I dont think we play them 5 times right?
dude this game was so bad ass to attend...rowdies were two sections away from me, spurs fans were talkin **** in the first half and then AB and the boys shut them up. This was the funnest rockets game ive ever been to. We beat Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Richard Jefferson without a superstar. I love the freaking rockets.. I met some of the rowdies today too...lol the dude in the turbo costume is freakin hilarious, great game all the way.
well i guess thats means no trades this year. sigh. i always like it when a new player shows up it brings a new angle to the game, but i dont think any thing will happen. tmac will be traded for expirings and i mean absolute expiring junk (hughes, darko, mobley). why take on additional salary? why disturb chemistry? why pay lux tax?
Sean Idiot "That was a high 4 point swing"   At best that was a 2 point swing even if Brooks traveled, but how can a 2 pt'er be a swing. Idiots are always idiots.
Good win for the Rockets, especially as January is a brutal month. Now a 6 game homestand against some very good teams, and a pretty nice February. March and April look pretty good too. Roster wise, we'll see. In Morey we trust. I'll say 7th, maybe 6th seed.
great win! hopefully we can build on this and play better on the road. if we want to make the playoffs, we have to at least play .500 ball on the road. landry finally has a landry-like game offensively. nice to see.
It was nice to see Ariza play well tonight on the offensive end. The major flaw in his approach - and what we saw in the fourth quarter - is that he stops the ball movement. Every other player on the team gets the ball and first checks out passing options or (mostly Brooks and Lowry) immediately makes a move. Ariza tends to get the ball and holds on to it, isolating on the wing or three point line as though he were TMac or Melo. This is problematic because (as apollo33 so eloquently put it) Ariza handles the ball like a 5th grader. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the guy. I like-to-love just about everything else he does on the floor; he just happens to handle the ball like my little sister - this is not a good thing. Still, I'm hoping that over the life of his contract he can improve well enough to utilize his speed and hops. And since he's young and (from all accounts) really works on his game, there's plenty of reason to think he can become an adequate (dare I hope good?) ball handler. In the meantime, he has no business putting the ball on the floor with any defender within five feet. Seriously, have you ever seen such a terrific athlete look so clumsy going to the rim? Especially when he stops awkwardly in the middle of the drive right when he should be taking off and dunking/laying it up? He just can't dribble well enough to transition from dribbling to laying it up, in traffic. Really, I think 80% of his poor shooting and turnovers this year re due to his ball handling. He never had to handle the ball in LA or Orlando; he just caught it on the move or caught it spotting up. Anyway, I hope after a summer or two he'll be able to handle the competently, if not deftly. I the meantime, I won't mind that flaw if he gets better at keeping the ball moving. Look at Battier; he can't handle the ball either, so he either passes immediately or shoots immediately. I'd like to see that from Ariza.
