Nice game. But it is best to wait and see. The Rockets were just recently torched by the Jazz and some decent teams so a win against the depleted Raptors is not an indication of much of anything. It would be interesting to see how far they have come when they meet the better teams ahead of them in the standings. Martin is rounding up to his normal game and that is very encouraging.

The worrisome trend is that the backcourt seems to be vulnerable on defense. I hope this weakness will be addressed eventually, but again it is always fun to savor a win.

We have an elite 1-2 backcourt now.

EDIT: Okay, I might be exaggerating, we did play against the D less Raptors. But it's nice to finally have two starting guards that actually have competent guard abilities. I think a Brooks/Lowry/Martin/CBud guard rotation is really nice. Battier/Ariza share minutes at SF.

    Good game tonight.

Now there is about a 5 game stretch against teams that aren't playing good basketball right now. Hopefully this stretch will allow Ariza and Lowry to come back and get familiar with the new guys so that the entire team can be ready to go for that playoff push. I'm really interested to see what this team can do with Ariza and Lowry in the mix... especially if Ariza comes back and understands that he won't need to try to do everything himself.

Martin and Brooks were in sync; this combo could be scary. Solidify the front court (Oh please get and stay healthy, Yao!) and next year could be a fun ride.
I thought the Hill kid showed some skills. Garbage time, granted, but he made the best of it. At least we have some bigs to run out there.

The Rockets looked really dominant against the paper Raptors, though I guess this team still has a fair chance at the playoffs, though the 8th seed has 4 game cushion over us.

Only 2 in the loss column and Lowry/Ariza are almost back.

An interesting stat: Not a single team in the top 8 in either conference is below .500 over the last 10 games and not a single team outside the top 8 is better than .500 over the last 10 games.

Usually there are at least a few teams in the top 8s in a slump and a few teams on the outside playing well.

Scola and Hayes have 24 assists collectively in past 3 games.

The rockets need a 10-game winning streak to make the playoffs.

great great game tonight. beautiful to watch. if brooks and kmart can shoot anywhere close to this on a consistent basis, with yao returning next year, it's going to be fun.

Good game to be at. Martin and Brooks are scoring machines.

Cousin got us suite tickets. Free food and drinks! Had a blast.

EDIT: Yes I know it's my cousin. Thx for the rep though!

Why are there no videos from this game of Jarrett Jack tying his shoes on the court during the action?

Yes, he's said that before. Considering that he had Martin for two seasons when Kevin first came into the league, does that mean we'll get the full affect next year? ;)

Yao'sp resence will throw a wrench into that plan, somewhat. Yao is no Vlade Divac, so Adelman's offense will have to adjust for him.

    Wrong again my friend....

Even Yao has said he will have to adjust to them...

The train is moving forward either get on board or move to a different location.

Hayes is really impressing in his high post play. If he can continue to work on those drives when the defense overplays that would make him a big bet to man the 4 off the bench next year. Come in with Budinger (and whichever PG doesn't start) and the 2nd team offense is in good hands with Hayes at the high post.

Hmm, 2nd team of Lowry(Brooks), Budinger, Battier(Ariza), Hayes, and Andersen/Hill/Armstrong/Rookie would have a nice mix of offense and defense.
