What is all this surprise about Scola's game? He has been/is a superb PF but he has been relegated to an afterthought in offense. Even after he ripped the Blazers in the first round last year while they concentrated on stopping Yao, somehow, Scola has been forgotten. This explosion is not surprising. He has the capability of consistently having these kinds of games if the PG, i.e. Brooks, and RA would only look for him consistently in the offense.

We saw the beauty of the game when the main PG looks for his team mates first in the offense. Brooks still had more shots than Martin so playing real PG for him in this game is more of an aberration. I hope Brooks realizes his main role on this team is to organize the offense and get his team mates involved, especially now that there is so much firepower in the team. He was much more effective in impacting the game tonight when he started looking for his team mates instead of his shot first.

44 for Scola? Wow, that is amazing. I couldn't even dream about it.

I still miss Carl, but if Luis can play like he has been, we are gonna be allright.

I agree brooks should realize his role.... he needs to drive and create open shots for his teammates and pass them the ball, however he and any player who is shooting well (for that game or the season) needs to take the open shot if they have it (and until brooks percentage drops below an acceptable amount for a shooter I have no problem with him taking open jumpers)...

No surprise on Scola, he is getting more touches, that's all.

Scola has been beasting, since Battier and Ariza don't start together anymore. Even Yao Ming would have a hard time scoring, if Battriza was in a game.

Scola has been playing in beast mode, now that the opposing defenders actually have to guard the other Rockets. Brooks and Martin open up the game for Scola with their 3pt range.

Brooks is most effective whenever he does the highest percentage play, whether that is taking an open three, blowing by somebody for a layup, or dishing to somebody else who is open. He is a great shooter, so it would be stupid to limit him by saying "You have to organize for your teammates, don't shoot the ball!" However, there are times when his decisionmaking could be better, which will change as he gains more experience. It is already changing now.

Watched the game in Brenham Tx (hmmmmm, ice cream) and finally got to see the pre & post game shows. Sure do miss them.

Hoowee! What fun watching Scola tear it up. After awhile there was never a doubt that he would make everything he threw up there. Amazing to see.

If there was a way to cram a 22 game win streak into one game, this would be as close as I've ever seen. God I hope there's going to be more.

Defence? I'll be patient. It's probably the last thing that comes together when you're gelling with new guys.

Great game, guys. Keep it up!

Great game. Love love Scola!!! Never trade him. Cannot stand Bosh.
Questions: Was Conroy on the bench? Is he signed or 10 day-er?
Why was Taylor not suited up?

I think once Lowry proved able, they sent Conroy back to the Vipers. Don't know for sure.

Taylor is at the bottom of the rotation, with Ariza, Martin, Battier, either of the PGs and Budinger able to take minutes, there was no reason for Taylor to be suited up.
