You gotta think Adelman is liking coaching this bunch. No stars to have to appease or devise the offense around. No real pressure to win but from themselves. Guys that want to be there. A vet leader by example in Shane. Like a 4th year college team. This is good stuff.
This team is gonna make some major upsets this season .. Playing with late first round and early second round scraps .. and taking a win in Utah .. thats soo good it should be illegal .. Props to Adelman for outsmatin Sloan just like he did with McMillan .. Were a short team we struggled for every rebound in the first 3 games this time we just crowded the paint .. nice tactic ..
Gotta love what you're seeing from this guy so far. Great win. That was one of the most enjoyable Rockets vs. Jazz games I can remember.
i agree with that somewhat. however, we are simply outhustling the opponents in our wins. i think this team's success has been a function of heart as much as it has been the different game plan. plus let's not forget we are shooting the ball great right now from 3pt land. i think the other interesting thing about this team is the fact that we don't play bad defense but we are just limited by the complete lack of a big man clogging up the middle. so we could be a team that plays good defense and hustles a ton but still have bad defensive stats.
I said the same thing in chat last night that other teams did not know how to prepare, but Sweet Lou made an interesting analogy when he flipped it on me and said .."Sure, but the Rockets are still learning too"..... The difference between the Rockets and Phoenix, is that the Rockets also scrap on defense. I think we have something.......and everyone worrying about not having a star player.....ehem...AB. DD
I still wonder if it's possible for him to be an All-Star this year.. We have DWill/CP3/TParker/Nash... Brooks is going to have play excellent and maybe be chosen by West's coach as an alternate.
It sure is.....I thought Adelman hung Lowry out to dry a bit in the 2nd Quarter last night by not having Budinger in there with him. Lowry needs finishers to help with his assists, I think Rick is still discovering who works well with whom. Because AB is the key so far, but he has to rest some time, and last night, once Lowry and Bud were in for the 4th quarter AB sat.....and only had to play 29 minutes....which is AWESOME. DD
