Agreed. Von is kicking himself for not being on this years squad.

Scola was the unsung hero. remember he had that massive 3pt play late in the 3rd. he also hit some clutch jumpers. he also had 15 boards with 2 blocks nd shut boozer down

just occurred to me running the offense through AB completely throws off the Jazz D. they can't flop and they can't foul because they can't keep up with AB.

    here's a thought:

Is our early success is partly because other teams aren't used to seeing this style of basketball from us, therefore old game planning have to be thrown out? It's almost like we are catching them by surprise. So another reason not to get caught up in our early success.

If this Rockets make a playoff push... maybe we'll have the entire team on the court come playoff time. This season has been interesting so far.

It's the reason why styles like ours don't win championships. We're already playing to our potential and overachieving as a team. Talented teams with stars can cruise in the regular season and kick it up a notch in the postseason. We can't kick it up a notch in the playoffs because we're already overachieving. Plus, in the playoffs teams have plenty of time to prepare for a particular matchup, whereas in the regular season they don't have much time to prepare for unconventional teams like ours. Still, it's enjoyable to watch this team as a fan and our team has potential to be a championship contender next season.

Awesome game. Great play in the fourth.
We didn't just win... we overcame a lot of adversity.. The refs were obviously a bit biased. But they did give us a few calls as well.

    Proud of this team.
Bring on the Lakers. Praying for Artest to try and 'impress' the Houston crowd by jackin' up shots ---> 4-15 sounds about right.

you can't game plan against a team without a game plan. right now we're fast breaking and passing to the open man in the half court, whereas before everyone and their moms knew we would throw the ball into Yao. once they fronted Yao, it was game over.

but this team, we're more spontaneous on offense. there's no "guy" to pass to. we just move the ball and whoever's open will shoot it. it looks good now because our ball movement's been great and people are knocking down shots.

we're kinda like the suns with defense. only we are shorter, and not as fast.

Well you kinda refuted that bolded statement later in your post. It's not the style of play that won't win us championships, it's the lack of superstars. We have talent in our role players, it's just that we don't have our superstar players to carry us when the role players aren't playing well.
