Brooks is good but he would get abused on defense if he played starter minutes. People are getting too worked up about him. He can be an instant offense player off the bench "spark plug" type, but I doubt he'll ever run a team.
I love our defense, it's very good so far this year and we don't even have Battier out there yet. Brooks looks like a good spark plug coming off the bench. I got to see the Rockets beat the Mavericks twice yesterday....................... NBA TV replayed (H)Akeem Olajuwon's first game as a Rocket in 1984 and it was also againts the Mavs. Talking about bringing back memories, Lucas, Lew Lloyd,Wiggins,Peterson.....wow it was fun watching that game. Lew Lloyd (Black Magic....Gene Peterson's nickname for Lew) was a dangerous offensive weapon, too bad drugs screwed his(Wiggins and Lucas too) career up. Sampson was a force back then and I hate that his knees gave out on him pretty much early in his career. Go Rockets!

I think Tracy played pretty good on the offensive end. But since he is not 100%, you can tell he is try to do less on the defensive end. He gave his man too much room. Not to mention whenver he guarded Howard, he scored at will. But then again, it's regular season and he is still hurting. So, overall, I think he did just fine.

Hey guys, have you noticed that pryuen hadn't posted for quite a while? I found him posting on another forum (Yao Ming Mania) for last night's game. I know he left because he was out of job at one time. But he's now posting again on another forum then why doesn't he come back to this forum? He used to post a lot here, chinese article translation and pre-game, in-game photos. I really miss him (in a no homo way)
Ditto. That clip should be played continuously on a monitor in the Rockets locker room before each game with the Mavericks. The best revenge is for Artest (and the team as a whole) to channel all of his (their) energy into a focused, B-Ball response to such situations. I think that is what he did last night. Hope it continues.
Man imagine a fully-healthy TMac to go with this rotation. That is a dangerous team. Also Battier back at 100% would wreck havoc defensively with Artest. i.e. put Artest on Nowitski and Battier on Howard.
Brooks is better sparking the bench. Once Francis is healthy I would like to him start and have Brooks as the backup again. No way Steve can do worse than Alston. He at least can do some dribble penetration and score.
I think it was intentional because first of all, Howard knee jerk walking is abnormal and unusual. Second, Howard didn't acknowledge Yao's falling as to say "Oops my bad." He didn't even check or glance at him..which tells me he's guilty of doing it intentionally. What an a z z !
