Defense wins Championships dont see that for Houston, but we need to learn how to close up games and we lost like i dont know how many times from that.
and.... It means nothing ~. Unless this team can win consistently, and against decent teams, then all this win will do is hurt our lottery chances.
Umm nice thread..okay not rlly ..plenty of teams in the NBA hv eaten teams much bttr than then like the grizzlies beat the heat so did the clippers but unfortunately the rockets record speaks for itself
I am thinking Adelman is loosening up the game for the second unit. Brooks tweeted that he likes wunning, a combination of running and winning. There comes a certain point in the season when the coaches have to realize that they can't get in any more technical coaching and they need guys to bust tail. The second unit went off. They were "just playing" as I see it, getting the board, getting the ball to Aaron and jamming it up the floor, taking the first good shot, Hill was running down and getting the ball in the paint, making quick decisions and either letting it fly or moving the ball. That's basic stuff. They weren't worried about missing cutters, waiting for cutters, setting the perfect screen. They just balled, come down on the fly go to the rim if you are a big man, spot up if you are a perimeter player, space the floor, if a screen makes sense, go set it, then move. They were just moving and playing, letting the game come natural to them. And they looked tremendously better for it. I am still convinced that our only chance to compete right now is to play uptempo for 48 minutes. The starters can run a few more plays, work the ball to Martin and Scola. But they should still be hustling up and down and taking the first good shot. The reserves likewise, rebound, get the ball out, and all 5 guys running down.

Or maybe he meant we are playing .500 after our 0-5 start this year. You realize we started the season 0-5 and the year 0-5. If we would have just split those games we would be 23-18 instead of 18-23. And the thing is i can show you the easy path to splitting those. Plus i can show you 5 other games that we absolutely could have and would have one if the ball just bounced 1 time differently. I mean 5 other losses that were stolen victories. That would make us 28-13 and people would be thinking different of us. Yeah I know woulda coulda shoulda, that and dollar will get you a cheap cup of coffee.
Against New Orleans one played 7 minutes the other 16.....so, uh, is it their fault or is it poor substituting? Rick Adelman has screwed the pooch all year on rotations, his overplaying people that are hot has cost this team time and time again, when they run out of gas and can't respond when the other team makes a run. Rick has GOT to learn to play subs and get people rest.......it is his biggest flaw, IMO. DD
I agree but to an extent. Yes, his substitutions have been abyssmal at times but he's also expecting his substitutes to play their asses off and not make so many bone-headed mistakes. So, it's on both the coach and the players who don't do their job when they are inserted in the game.
