This is why I have been defending JHill. The bench players are better for his play style. In the starting line up you have Scola who takes up space in the post, and theres only really Martin who' a threat from three. Plus until Hill bulks up, the starting centers in league are at the least more muscular than him.
I know you must be very disappointed since you're "pro-tanking" and all. But keep your chin up, maybe we'll lose the next game.
I think Martin should only play minimal in the 2nd half of games. He tends to disappear and his defense is below average. Rockets tend to play harder and a lot better when Martin is on the bench. We need to milk Martin in the first half and give the majority of his minutes (provided he's not hot) to Lee and Brooks.
AB cares a little bit more on defense and doesn't flop on offense so the team gets in an offensive rhythm. If we have to start KM to get the numbers up in the 1st qtr, fine, but we should play the AB and Lowry line up the majority of the game even if the other team is bigger.
we need both lowry and brooks. Martin and Scola can go for equal talent though. Presumably at the 3 and 5 spots.
no. if anything is evident, you start lowry/martin. but going into the 4th quarter and down the stretch, you play lowry/brooks.
I think we should let Martin get his 25 points in first 3 quarters... So AB is well rested to take over in the 4th. AB is definitely only closer we have. He can hit big shots... I like Brooks and Lowry finishing the game. Martin is not closer but he is very important... as long as he keeps giving us good scoring for first 3 quarters = Less work load for Scola/AB..
lol yup. I mean we only had 7 all game before they started fouling at the end... but yeh, all of 'em tonight.
I had my worries and A LOT of people on clutch fans had their doubts about this game. I think I speak for all of us by saying that WE were so wrong! Good Job getting that win tonight! I Hope PatPat is not going through something serious with the chest pains. Pleeeeease let it be indigestion, heartburn, or gas
I think we were +16 against those teams, but i dont think that was in the 4th. +16 last night was end of third and we led 12 going into 4th (cut down big time within a minute and a half) and vs Utah I think it was earlier in the game too. I agree, I dont think we are a bad team. We're just normally bad closers sadly.
This. You could just feel it last night when we had the 16 point lead we were playing our A game. As pathetic as it got after that, thank God tonight's game makes it look more like an aberration. Hope we finnally brake this old habit because we should be able to sustain this level of play and if we do, we're in the playoffs baby!
