    Honestly, I hate this statement?
Who cares about heart as long as a player is effective, and we win games..

The Players are more joyful. The fans are more joyful.

    What makes this difference?

Xu is one of the first NBA commentators in China. He is usually calm, reasonable and insightfurl. From what I can tell, he seemed to imply T-Mac might be the one involved in possivle trades.

Good job --Aartest /Yao/Landary/Brooks! Congratulations to the rocket! Final quarter's defense is the cause of the great win!

I think his point is that t-mac is ineffective because he lacks heart (which kobe has)

Before the emergence of Bynum and the steal of the century aka Pau Gasol trade, Kobe managed to miss the playoff all together.

One-on-one, I think Tmac in his prime could take Kobe or King James.

For this Rockets team, we don't need Tmac to be in his prime. Tmac of last season would suffice to propel us into a true contender.

Guess what? Without heart, you can be effective sometime, but you will never be a real winner.

hmm.. interesting.. i thought Mac wont' be traded because of his contract.. i dunno who we can get instead of mac..

Artest trade would make sense because he doesnt fit.. and he can be traded easily..

Yeh you could easily argue that heart is defined by winning games. thats really what it boils down to.

One thing I like in this game is how Rockets solve the "front-Yao" problem. GS is the one who started, and benefited most from the front (we always had trouble playing them and Yao mostly during the past few years). Tonight Yao moved much better and the ball was delivered to him on time and GS had no answer whatsoever. D. Nelson must be pulling his hair out. LOL.

    sadly. its a team game..

and I agree.. 80% healthy T-Mac with the "right" attitude to run the offense would suffice considering the "Talent" around him...

O i hear aerosmith playing "dream on" ...

the injuries and the drama never ends in houston..

That makes it sound like "the YMCA" offense...

I prefer it to call it the "Rockets hybrid Jeff Van Adelman offense" ;)

I'm not going to try and argue about what TMac could do in his prime...prior to his Houston days but I will say this. Kobe did take the 05-06 and the 06-07 Lakers to the play-offs when it was widely regarded that those teams had absolutely nothing outside of Kobe.

I don't recall Kobe ever loosing a series after being up 2-0. We know that TMac has done that multiple times...including when he was considered to be in his prime. We also know that Kobe has never quit on his team but TMac addmitted as much in Orlando.

Is it just me or does the Rockets play with a higher level need to win without a name I won't mention!

i've always said this - for every measure, there is a counter. proved to be true again on this fronting defense.

we can still do better on this. but the way we're been improving on countering the fronting under adelman, it is already enough to make gsw our biatch. :p

Crash, I am sure you are reasonable guy about everything but Tracy McGrady. I just think that going to a sexist insult about one of your own players is classless. End of story.

    Guess what!
    Heart is overrated.

I think there is a very good argument that Iverson in his first 7 seasons in the league had more heart than any other player.

How many championships does Allen Iverson have?

Thanks. Seems like he can hustle his old carcass up and down a few trips, though. I wonder what sprain or strain he's nursing...
