i think a lot of the people in the organization and adelman were really relieved seeing how he played "offensively" v. philly. they have to think he can regain at least his form from last yr. we'll see how long that ankle sprain limits him. i think he'll be back v. chicago but we'll see.

defensively though, he's still struggling mightily.

I'm surprised at the continuity of stupidity on this board. T-Mac misses a game, we win, whole board says we don't need T-Mac, send him out of here, and so forth. What immaturity at foresight.

There are good days and bad days, I thought Artest was still taking tough shots and not handling the ball well. If his ugly shots didn't go in, what would we all say? Keep T-Mac, send Artest out. My God.

There is a reason why we have 3... when one fails the other takes over. Aaron Brooks had a good day, Alston will have a good day. The most consistent ones should start, yes. Who has been performing the worst this season? I still think it's Battier.

A solid post. Well done. I agree with you.

But I also noticed that T-Mac did play poor defense. Sometimes, it's really frustrating. He has the talent to do it right, but he usually choose to let it go.

And, as some Chinese announcers said on CCTV just now, if you're a light bulb, you need turn on and give us light. Whatever excuses you may have, but a light bulb that doesn't give us light is not a good one.

Dude, you're the one who's talking tough here. How do you know he'll never talk to him to his face? You just made some of the dumbest assumptions ever. You are degrading other posters which makes yourself look like an ass.

T-mac is the biggest problem for the team right now, face it.

I guess when you get proven wrong on your other point you resort to another false statement. ;)

Calm donw. No no is hating Yao. He is supposed to be a superstar on this team and he did what he was supposed to do. AB, Landry and Artest did have a good game. The original poster is just a little bit radical.

A Yao post up is not a motion offense. Plus Artest moved the ball plenty tonight in racking up 7 assists. He's also a very good entry passer to Yao.

Lastly, I don't think a team based around Yao Ming will ever run a true motion offense so stop expecting it.

Thats the benefit of a shane battier and a ron artest. Tracy doesn't have to D up the other teams go to guys on defense. He can just focus on rebounding and creating steals. With his length and lateral quickness, he should be able to do that rather easily.

The thing im concerned with when it comes to mcgrady is his pick and roll game on offense. He used to be so deadly at it whether he was scoring getting to the basket, or finding an open shooter. Now he just dribbles right into a trap and it usually just bogs down the offense. I won't say he's back until he is able to use those screens and make plays like he used to on offense.

Absolutely. He was doing all sorts of things he used to do exactly one year ago.. + driving into the paint though he got a few shots blocked

    I hope he recovers fast..

but the last thing i want is him baby-ing that ankle and saying he came back too early...

don't play till u completely recover

the problem on defense is more evident this year because Shane is about two steps slower on his bum ankle than last year. So T-Mac's defense is being easily exploited for all to see right now, but it's not all his fault.

Ball movement was good for the most part. A lot of Artest isolations, which you have to live with when you have star players. Brooks did a good job of penetrating.

Defense was terrible for the most part. It picked up a bit in the second half, but I think it was more so the Warriors missing easy shots than the Rockets playing incredible D. Definitely room for improvement...

Right. Ron Ron was just too good in this game to be consistent. A Chinese announcer on CCTV named Xu Jicheng implied somewhere during the game that the Rockets might be still actively working for some trades before the deadline.

While reading a message from a fan who was obviously concerned about the Rockets' recent slump, he told the fan to be patient and wait for a while. He said that a lot could happen before the deadline.

I don't know whether this really means anything. But some Chinese announcers do have daily contact with those Houston-based Chinese reporters. At least, they should know something.
