Even in his present condition(not yet 100%) he is still the best player on the team at creating shots for other people. Plus, 80-90% of McGrady is still better than a majority of NBA players.
Never mind his hot 4th quarter won the game in Washington earlier this year. This McGrady bashing needs to stop.
I agree. Kobe is just a flat out assassin on the court. One of the most cold blooded shooters I have ever seen when the game is on the line. That is definitely not a knock on TMac or anyone else...Kobe is just that good.
like the insightful clyde said, "your offense looks good when shots fall." we took great shots in the 4th v. philly and missed -> offense looked bad. however, the key to this game wasn't offense. it was defense. i think the team looking over tapes the past few days really helped them out.
Fools gold? This is obviously the first year you've watched Artest play. The guy is a shot maker. Last year he averaged 8 makes a game on 45 percent shooting. He can make all kinds of shots. Yeh, he has been disapointing this season, but he hasn't really been healthy consistantly enough to get in to a rhythm. He is also still getting used to his team mates. If you love Wafer so much, why hate on ron? He plays better d, he's a better passer, rebounder, 3 point shooter. It doesn't make much sense to me. I think you just like players that are quick. Quickness isn't everything in the NBA. Especially when you get into the post season.
its ok if you have the rhythm to take tough shots. But when they don't fall . JUST STOP and start deferring to other players/take it to the paint. If a player is smart enough to do that.. that would be enough for the team.. we always have a pretty reliable center who can shoot abv 50% .. just gave him the ball will ya.. that was why I was pissed with Ron in the philly game.. u sud stop shooting and start to try gettin into the paint when u are 1/5 at the 3 pt line.. but he took 5 more and jacked em..
No we can't. Not unless we tighten up defensively. Honestly the only difference between this game and the knicks game is Ron was making his shots. He took a lot of tough shots tonight and just made them. That has been the difference in his good offensive games and bad offensive games. Whether or not his tough shots are falling. Without T-mac Artest is going to take a lot of tough shots because nobody can really create him open shots. T-mac will get him open shots.
i've learn to let it go. as long as i see tracy getting better every game that he plays, i'm slowly starting to believe in this team again. our role players getting better and we have options even when a few of our guys struggle. it's going to be fun seeing how this team plays in mid-feb onward.
Tmac in his prime was just as good as Kobe is now. He was unstoppable. That's why this board was so excited when we first got him. Too bad we got a Tmac on the downside of his career.
Also I disagree that the big 3 can't co exist. When McGrady is playing, have either Yao or Ron run the low block. When Artest is paired with Yao, let him play like he did tonight. Ron is having his poorest fg% season as a pro by far, and it will start to level out in the 2nd half of the year.
if tracy can improve on his play from philly, he'll regain his top 5 perimeter player status real soon. but he will never be as good as kobe, wade, or lebron anymore.
Dude, *you* are the one whining about McGrady after a Rockets win. I was making the observation that not playing "team ball" is all good if it goes in and they win. In regards to the "McLady" drivel, I think you make yourself look like an ass when you go there over and over again. You are just the kind of internet tough guy to talk all this smack about a person that you would never say to his face. I have no respect for people who repeatedly pull this misogynistic crap about one of our own players. I know this: on your best day...like ever, in your life times a thousand, you still wouldn't add up to one of Tracy McGrady's discarded toenails. He was not only born with more talent and has accomplished more than you, but he's also worked harder to get where he is. You and I both know that. Goodbye.
Amen. that guy is a killer... even t-mac would agree with that.. and thats why i like kobe more than lbj just see kobe take over if Bynum goes down for the season..
Im glad that tonights game we played solid the whole time, all 4 qtrs. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final Score 25 28 28 29 110 no mental lapses this time.
Agreed to the full! Crazy right?
Artest ruins the motion offense more than anything. It flows A LOT better with T-Mac in there than it does with Artest. Artest took some horrible shots tonight that happened to go in. That wont happen every single night. Also, it seems that whenever he drives, he pays no attention to the defense and most of the time it ends up as a turnover. We didn't see that tonight as much, because GS lacks any resemblance of interior defense.
Anyways though, loved the win! Glad to see Brooks finally snap the slump. Yao also had an amazing game, and what was even more spectacular was how efficient he was. Win number 1 on the new streak!
hey fellow posters. i didnt get to watch the game but it looks like we played really well. how did it all look like on the court?? defense?? ball movement??
