Our 4th quarter defense was the nail in the coffin. Against the Warriors, a high scoring team, we managed to shut them down in the 4th quarter. You are right about some of Ron's shots though. I thought he took a few 3 pointers under some tough conditions with lots of time on the clock but luckily, he made them. Ron has to get a little smarter about the shots he takes.
Actually I wasn't whinning about McLady. You are the one that came in here with his six shooters blazing and complaining that no one was complaining about AB or Artest going 1 on 1 like they did with McLady after the last 2 fourth quarter melt downs. No sir. You are the one looking like an A** and a d-bag for whinning about the win and not celebrating it like everyone else here tonight. You sir picked the wrong game to whine about TMac's treatment. Maybe you should wait until the Rockets bomb with out him to lend some creedence to your crying about poor McLady's mistreatment.
Honestly, I think Wafer is the odd man out here. Battier is just such a good defender and he really does get the team alot of extra possesions without making mistakes. He has to play. Wafer is not very good in half court on either end. He doesnt give alot of versatility on offense or defense. i know this board loves him, but he makes alot of mental mistakes(poor shot selection, not going after rebounds, missing defensive assignments, poor positioning on offense and defense) out there that cost the team points and possesions....you never have to worry about that with Battier.
Great post... people are hating too much here... instead of celebrating the win. some morons innovate and come up with BS on stars playing/not playing/ball stopping etc...
So you to are wondering why no one is complaining about AB and Ron Artest tonight the way they complained about McLady after the NY and Philly losses? That was what he came in here complaining about. Maybe you missed that post somehow.
I am happy the team won, but that game was fools gold. Ron hit some ridiculous shots that he does not ever hit. Sometimes you get a game where a guy gets hot, this was it for Ron, but his normal game would not be this good. And, as I said, if you have Ron and Tmac they don't fit...one or the other has to go...IMO......and it should be Ron because he is more easily traded. DD
T-mac's problem is his EQ. No doubt he was a phenominal player before. But when he was winning he became frivorous, when he was losing, he became depressed and likes to scapegoat others. To me that's not mental maturity. Remember a true warrior will never get too high when you are winning or too low when facing challenges. Now with all these injures burdening on him, I highly doubt he will ever come back to his formal self technically. His personality determines his career success/failure. I would not hold my breath on his helping Rockets in the future although I would like to eat crow...
I've been saying the same thing over and over again this year. When healthy, Tmac is as deadly as Kobe in the final minute of a game. But now it is also a very likely scenario that Tmac will never be 100% again.
Like it or not these people will need to realize we need a motivated T-mac to do anything worth noting in the playoffs. Or get something good for him which I don't see happening because of his trade value being low at this point. So we will need a healthy and motivated T-mac like I said. We won't be playing the Warriors in a 7 game series in the playoffs.
A good point. I don't know this is a good thing or a bad thing. When the shots fall, everything looks beautiful, but can we really rely on those tough shots?
