My guess is that everyone is still in awe of Tracy's mystique and aura that they just stand around and spectate. Now if only these players would wake up and recognize the fact that Tracy is now TSlack, we'd have a lot more movement on offense.
Yes I will be a skeptic until TMac finally gets a team out of the 1st round.[/QUOTE] It could happen if he skip the first round with a minor injury!
This may come as a surprise to you but Tracy McGrady has reached legendary status in NBA. He was (hopefully still is) a legit superstar who in his prime was every bit as amazing as Kobe is now. If Tmac ever wins a ring in Houston, he won't have to pay for his drinks in Houston for the rest of his life.
legendary may be a reach. but do you know how many up and coming players say they pattern their game after tracy mcgrady? a lot of young guys in this league look up to tracy (maybe not now b/c he's not as good) but when he's near healthy, he's still pretty good. so when tracy has the ball, i'm sure guys like wafer, rafer... feel like he can do anything. did you see how rafer acts when tracy scores? it's like his hero just scored. when tracy "dominates" a game (not just scores points and whatever), it just uplifts everybody for some apparent reason and makes the team feel like it's unbeatable b/c they have that "guy". hopefully he can regain that.
I certainly don't see that and Rafer does not say that. Here is Rafer's own words: ...it’s simpler to play this way, without worrying about stars and who needs what, Alston said. That’s what basketball is all about, collectively going out there and sharing the burden instead of doing it one on one.[/i]http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6218475.html I think that is a little jab at the Rockets big 3 but it was so true that I had to put it in my sig.
U know there are things about rafer I like. He plays hard, he's really competitve, and he's outspoken which is cool, but is there a worse guy calling himself a pg. To me, he's the biggest benefactor of having tracy and yao. Minus those 2, he's smush parker and playing in the d-league.
