I still think that this team is better with Tracy. We just need a couple good practices, and we'll keep improving.

Man I wish I had faith in that.

Years of broken promisses and failed attempts to achieve the goal of getting out of the 1st round have made me skeptical.

TMac may be the only player with the distinction of loosing 2 different play-off series when leading 2 games to 0 and loosing a 3rd while leading that series 3 games to 1. And the biggest slap in the face is that we had a 2-0 lead with 3 home games left in the Dallas series and lost game 7 at home against Utah.

Yes I will be a skeptic until TMac finally gets a team out of the 1st round.

It might happen with him on the bench.

Honestly, at this point I don't care how it happens. TMac starting and scoring every point or TMac on the bench or off the team. I just want to have some play off success and my faith in TMac is all but used up. I would be willing to use him off of the bench but my preference would be to try and gets some value for him (Hinrich and Nocioni) and try something different.

I don't think you can trade Tmac........which is why I think you have to trade Artest.

Do you think we cant because his performance has decreased to the point that other teams are unwilling to take on his contract or because the Rockets are still unwilling to part with him?

A little of both....

I believe that you are not going to get much value for him THIS year...but next year his expiring deal could net you quite a few quality players that are trying to get into the 2010 sweepstakes.

And, I think the Rockets know that his injuries have all been very minor, he has just not reacted well to them, and when he gets through that mental hurdle, I think they are hopeful he will be back to his normal self.

Don't sell T-Mac short on this. We can still trade him for a case of pringles or perhaps ranch doritos. :)

You do realize that it takes a team effort right?
I think it is just a tad bit unfair to put the sole responsibility of playoff success on one player.
What about Yao? Where was he when Boozer and Okur were making him look silly 2 years ago..
Here's a better question, if we get out of the first round this year, will you give all the credit to T-Mac, or are you going to say it was a team effort?

Not pointing at you, but that's one hell of a double standard some people have..

It is a team effort but when one or two players are taking the majority of the shots etc, then those are the guys that are going to get the lion's share of the credit or the blame.

Tmac and Yao have both underperformed in the playoffs, and Tmac particularly has......

They have time, but this is the year.....I hope.

In terms of under performance in the playoffs, I would place Yao ahead of TMac. Yao has had some woefully bad playoff games in recent memory.

I have been critical of both of them but I agree with this statement.

Are you kidding?
Yao has been far worse than McGrady in the playoffs. It isn't even close..
McGrady at least puts up spectacular numbers in the offseason, even if he can't get out of the first round. Yao can't even do that much. People will say, well it is because Tracy likes to dominate the ball. Well yeah, why wouldn't he? When you are a superstar player, you have to accept the role. Yao can't even takeover a game during the playoffs. McGrady may choke and lose playoff series again and again, but Yao can't even get to the point where he is able to choke..
Still though, I want both of them to go far this year! :D

I watched almost every Rockets game since Hakeem.
By the way did I hit a nerve by disliking T-back?

Why are we less efficient when he plays? Please, someone explain that to me.
