I think Tracy cares, but I am not sure he cares...every game. I believe that Tracy is in love with being a celebrity, an NBA player more than he is in love with winning. To me, the great ones hate to lose, they do everything they can to win..at all costs. I do not see that in Tmac.....to me it is just not there. I think he cares, but I think he cares about others stuff more. Again, just my opinion. DD
Of late ... TSlack plays ... we struggle and mostly LOSE. TSlack sits ... we compete and mostly WIN. Pretty simple, eh?
if you think tracy didn't play with a higher level of intensity in the 3 games since he's returned...
Playing hard as in rolling on the floor, sweating profusely, grimacing and gnarling? Maybe it's obvious to you but I can't spot the slackers. Specifically, in Tmac's case, if he was standing like a statue when Philly players blew past by him, would you consider the slightest probability that he might have just lost a step this year because of his surgery? I don't think Tmac is slacking off but he is injured now. He will be back.
Just curious, you don't like Tmac. Yao disappoints you. Artest is overrated. Why are you wasting time with this loser team?
He did play with a higher level of intensity. But we expect an EVEN HIGHER LEVEL of intensity from our most highly paid player all the time. He doesn't play D. Usually that just takes effort ....
I Can't agree with the first part. I don't think he is more enamored with being a celebrity/superstar more than anything. I really think he cares about basketball as much as Kobe/Lebron/Wade.. as much as it is healthy to care for one's profession.
I do agree that it seems he does not give 100% effort at all times. Its not as much as some make it out to be though. He doesn't go full throttle on some possessions, but it is never to the point where it is a quarter or a game. I think its more of a personality thing with him, and that is definitely a defect of his. However, I'm willing to accept it because he offers us so much more that counteracts the stuff that he does do wrong.
In general, whether you are speaking of athletes, or anything in life, you have to take the good with the bad. There is nothing "perfect", and you have to deal with the faults that people/things may have. As far as Tracy goes, I believe the good far outweighs the bad.
Haha, Yao can use elbow this court, he become strong enough. The coach must give more chanes to Wafer and Landry, they are all promises players at the playoff. Congruation to Brooks, he and Scole become 2 years all-stars, but what a pity to Landry, pls dont take it to heart, i am behand you, and millons of fans from China are behand you.
I criticize TSlack for being a lazy ball stopping slacker. Does that mean I don't like him? Yao can be disappointing, yes. But he's giving all that he has every night. I can't blame him for lack of effort. Artest may be overrated (depending on who is rating), but he gives 110% every night too. TSlack is the weak link in the chain. Dump TSlack and I'll be happy.
this year and next year will be very frustrating for you. hopefully your hair won't gray that much. good luck.
It is not about like or dislike. It is about his lack of effort on the court. If you guys read that as not liking him, so be it.
LOL. You got testy because we needled ya a bit. Whazzup with that? BTW, TSlack often appears to be coasting because he is just that good. Don't measure effort based on your own physical limitation.
He's so good that he gives up transitions baskets. He's so good that his man routinely beats him off the dribble (even "no name" players). He's so good that he doesn't need to fight through screens (somehow, the shot will magically get contested). He's so good that he doesn't rotate on defense. He is killing us, can't you see it? Most people only look at TSlack's offense. He's so good that he can hold the ball for 8 seconds and take a 25% fade away jumper. He so good that he doesn't need to move without the ball. He's so good that he doesn't need to set screens. Bottom line ... he just isn't very good because he isn't putting out the effort. The recent games prove it. When TSlack plays, we struggle. When he doesn't, we win way more often and way more easily.
when you have unmatched talent, you can coast a bit - especially in the regular season when few go all out every night. when you're off your peak and starts to decline (i don't care if it's injuries, mileage, or both) and you still coast, you will have and also create more and more problems. there is a clear correlation b/w the decline and the problematic issues around. that largely has been the case for mcgrady. simple, really.
