A win, is a Win we don't need to wait for tmac for this team to gel. Everyone is finding their spots. Growing offensively. To say anything else about our group of guys.. is a slap to their face. And last game was largely bc of tmac running 1 on5 plays changing his mind inthe last few seconds. I'm tired of watching tmac appear, than dissapear, not even giving a damn abiut the team while sittin on the bench. Morey I know you can turn some loose screws into something special. Just get us some players that will contribute. No one has empathy for loser.

What is not good with us winning games w/out TMac is it will make him doubt himself more. He is quickly becoming like Penny. More and more are starting to believe he actually hurts this team. Do you dump him now or hang on him for the 2010 FA?

I'm not a T-mac lover. What you said was false and I posted the truth.

Please explain to me how T-mac ALWAYS sucks in the clutch because I know a few games he hasn't.

You said when T-mac plays no team is pathetic, but yet the game he played in The Rockets made the Nets look pathetic.

Everything you said was false ock.

I don't want to single out one playe for the outcome of a game. 48 minutes, 5-on-5 and when buzzer sounds, the result is a team effort.

In our loss to the 76ers, our shots were not falling like they did today. Philly also plays a much more physical defense.

I really don't think Tmac was playing so poorly that Wafer or Brooks would be better options.

I am trying to point out that Tracy is a scapegoat. That game we lost all momentum with him on the bench, but fans pick on the final shot. It was obvious Tracy made an effort to play with more energy, but one blocked shoot and all is forgotten.

keep 1/2of t-cracks ass on the bench and the other half in the gym conditioning until his contract expires... hopefully some other team will jump the gun.

Kobe was and still is a me-first player.

But we are not here for a character debate.

Kobe can take a phyiscal beating and Tracy can't.

However, without Tmac, I still think we won't get very far.

You just don't get it. It's not about "just talent" or "heart"..

Its about a talented team with chemistry competing hard, and winning games. Add in some luck, and you have the recipe for a championship!
Heart is such a vague term that it is utterly stupid. Realistically, there's not even a set definition for it.

Heart means nothing, winning means everything.
You don't need "heart" to win.
You do however need to win to have heart.

To me heart means competing.....night in and night out.

    Playing hard, trying...caring.

And what special talent do you possess to gauge how much "heart" a player is competing with?

I am not sure about "Special talent" but it is fairly obvious to discern who is playing hard, and whom is not.

To me, that is called competing hard.
    Not "heart"

    Its called playing hard
    Not "heart
To me, it seems that people have the definitions of "heart" and "enthusiasm" intertwined.
If a player's demeanor isn't enthusiastic, it does not in any way mean they don't "try hard" or compete with passion...
On a side not:

Not pointing at you DD, but since you mentioned it, and I know that the poster I was replying to most probably thinks it... To say McGrady does not care if this team wins is a highly ignorant statement.

This is how mt people can be at times. Check this. The rox started off the 1st 15 games without shane and a hobbled tracy. The rox went 10-5 while allowing 90ppg on 43% shooting. Want to look up and check the opp fg% and ppg without him?

stats can be misleading. shane does help us with defense. the problem is you don't just win with defense. a guy who plays big minutes HAS to be an offensive threat.

did people want rafer out there shooting 1-8 for 45+ mins like he did in the playoffs a few years ago? NO, b/c he was NOT a threat and that made it harder on our stars.

the purpose is to make the game easier for our stars and we can't do that if we consistently put chuck hayes out there. now the same applies to shane.

we won't see this until we consistently play the elite teams, where they will watch tapes and notice shane is a scrub this year on offense and just dare him to make 3-4 shots EVERY GAME, not just one game (esp. in a 7 game series).

No doubt he cares ... but he doesn't care enough to play hard and rehab seriously.
