Late in Saturday’s game, Aaron Brooks knew he was close to double-figures in rebounds, territory he had never reached before.

With a long rebound coming his way, he talked his way into rebound No. 10, his career high.

“I knew I had eight or nine,” Brooks said. “That’s why at the end of the game, I told Ron (Artest) ‘let it go, let it go’ and I grabbed it. That was my 10th one so I have to thank Ron for it.”

Brooks said he got some of the rebounds by chasing down controlled tips that are normally credited to the player that tips the ball to an open area. Brooks, however, said “I’m not giving them back.”

    PLEASE somebody answer this question!!

How in living hell did yao not get fouled for two games in a row. Doesn't that sound a little odd considering the amount of shots he took which were obviously in the post.

Marcus Camby? Are you serious? I hope your other 6000+ posts are not of comparable idiocy. You got some serious hate son, and it's rapidly regressing your intelligence.

Camby is NOT an impact player. If Camby was as great as you believe, the Clips would be dominating the West. Last time I checked, Camby couldn't even contain the Rox front line.

That's simply not true. Many teams actually own up to their mistakes and don't point fingers.

Your statement about teams complaining after games actually detriments your argument. If NBA games were officiated fairly, no team would have the basis to complain after the game. Your statement admits that NBA officiating is faulty. And because it's, there is a basis for complaints. Therefore you should not be complaint-adverse if the basis is correct.

Because Yao never gets fouled. You're allowed to hack, push with two hands, uproot, elbow and run into Yao. I believe the NBA is changing the rules next year to allow punching and kneeing Yao.

northeastern- When jefferson dunked on yao, blocked his shot and was super aggressive, u could see yao fade and get timid. What yao shouldve done, but he won't because we've been talking about it for 6 yrs is after not getting a foul, foul the s+@t out of someone. I don't expect him to be like that, but he wasn't trained like that. He's cut out of the david robinson cloth. Take that how u may.

With his luck, they would call an offensive foul. Yao is an amazing player. Would you rather have a guy his size with all power and no finis (bricking a shot 5 ft from the basket) Or a guy that is capable of scoring anywhere on the court.

Since when Yao can score from anywhere on the court?

17 feet and beyond, he is useless.

I don't disagree with you ... I can't remember the last time Yao has given a hard foul.

I would like a big guy that could protect the team, but its not going to happen. Yao doesn't get money's worth for his fouls. If a guy flops, fall on his ass. If a guy has u under the basket about to dunk, wait till he go up and come down hard on his arms. The tick tack softee calls are what kills me.

So Yao has to hurt people in order for you guys to like him?

Why should Yao have to make others pay a price because his team mates are to weak on D to prevent their men from getting into the lane in the first place?

What are you guys going to say about Yao when he under cuts Lebron and ends his career? Dirty foul or good job?

Why don't we get him to hide a switch blade in his shorts as well?

Maybe he can kill them the night before, we are sure to win the championship if he goes on a murder spree!

This THUG crap is for people in jail not for the NBA. Go watch UFC if you want retaliation over professionalism.

If KJ can dunk on Dream then this is no different. Yao does not have Dreams mobility so his defense is not as good accept it! He is not going any where and if he does then you will all find another guy with imperfections to rag on.

Whats wrong with winning the professional way by playing good D instead of bullying people? He's not going to stoop to that level and I am glad to have a guy with respect instead of guy that flexes is balls of IRON. Shaq may do it but he has a history of disrespecting people on and off the court. I don't want Yao to be associated with that kind of behavior and I don't mind giving up layups and dunks every once in a while.

Its a game and if he takes it to personal then what are you going to say when Yao tries to dunk it and someone hurts him on purpose? Thats just basketball? No, its not, its wrestling and wrestling is fake because we all know if people are purposely trying to hurt some one it is a CRIME! Not a game any more.

Where do you guys learn this mentality? Maybe Yao should go back to China before he gets hurt. i don't mind going another 10+ years for a ring if it means nobody getting hurt in order to win it.

Why does it have to be to the extreme. Dream wasn't a thug, but if he had to get a guy off of him he would. When we talk about Dream, the name warrior is always brought up and not because he's from africa. Its because the more you pushed, the tougher he got. The more u hacked, the more aggressive he got. Go look at how physical the 94 finals vs the knicks was and tell me if you think yao could hold up to that. There is something about a big man setting the tone of toughness. Yao don't do it, and probably won't ever do it. He doesn't have to kill anyone to be tough, but he does have to play tough to be tough. Now if you're going to get you panties in a wad and take it to the extreme, oh well.
