Should've gone after the 2 blondes, dude with glasses and the monkey could easily be outdone and after a solid win you may just get lucky.

Adelman's after game interview was actually interesting for once. Two things popped out at me-

    1) Is something I didn't recognize and should have given Jordan credit for- although he was bad at actually getting rebounds in most of the game till the fourth, he did do an awesome job of making sure Gasol didn't get them either. So many of the rebounds other guys got were partially attributed to him.

    2) Someone asked about lineup when AB comes back. RA laughed and said that's going to be easy. AB will start and Lowry will come off the bench, and they'll play well together.

It's just stupid that you want someone to suck on a team that you cheer for to push your own agenda for some stupid reason.

Your kids will never make it to the NBA. They have your genes. Aaron Brooks is not your child, and he is thankful that he isn't.

True to an extent. But IIRC Battier also did try to drive on Bryant several times (Bill Worrell said twice), and even if he wasn't successful, he was forcing Bryant to play defense. He also took and made that midrange jumper at the end when Bryant fell - not a shot he "normally" takes. In other words, he wasn't just settling for those corner 3s.

Teams are crowding on Martin and Scola and forcing Battier, Lowry, and Hayes to beat them. In this game Battier scored 17 while Lowry and Hayes scored 8 points each. In the OKC win, Lowry and Battier had big scoring games. In other words, these points are coming within the offense, but they're also the shots the opposing teams are giving the Rockets. Credit to the "defensive" players of the team for making them.

And BTW give credit to Martin for a pretty bad-ass game. The defense was playing him tough, he shot poorly in the first half, he was defending Bryant for much of the night, and the referees have become more reluctant in calling fouls in his favor.

And yet he still scores 22 points and shoots 10 of 10 from the line, including a 10+ pt. third quarter to keep the Rockets in the game. Bad ass.

So glad to see that Battier had a great game. However, this game and his great offensive performance highlights the need for another sf who can play both O and D. I don't know what it will cost to get Iggy, but he would shored up the sf position like no other. I know Iggy is listed as a sg, but there is really no reason he couldn't play sf.

A one-two punch of Iggy and Battier and a lot of the defensive and offensive woes from that position may be solved.

I have to say that Martin looked like he actually was playing defense on Bryant, which proves that he can actually do it. He has the length and quickness to do it. He just needs the drive to stick with it. I think pulling him early might have lit a fire under his ass.

Don't know if it's correct, but radio announcer Craig Ackerman said that he was told by the Lakers' radio guy that no Phil Jackson coached team had lost 4 games in a row.

Believe me ESPN will remind us tonight and all day tomorrow that the Laker's have lost four in a row.

Kobe missed his last 3 shots in crunch time.

Lakers should trade him for Carmelo.

    ...

Sarcastic comment aimed at those who think a good crunch player ALWAYS makes all their shots in the 4th quarter.

    ...

Reading through the in-game comments, it's appalling how many people jump on K-Mart for missing a few shots. Yet he ends up with 22 points in a so-so game for him. And making the final 2 points and grabbing the last rebound.

He also played GOOD defense. Would it kill some of you to give him credit?

Super game, just finished watching it on League pass.

Mega props to Chuckwagon for shutting down Gasoft, that dude is so over-rated. 7'1 guy getting shut down by a 6'6 (in shoes) guy.

Shane had an awesome game. He pretty much turned Kobe into a chucker.

Luis had a decent game but got torched by Odom for 25.

    Awesome game by Lowry.

Not bad at all. He actually played pretty decent defence against Kobe, and he was hitting shots and drawing fouls when we were hitting slumps.

So true, it took Battier shooting very well in the Oklahoma game and the Lakers game to even barely win. I'd like to see a good win without Battier having to go off....

Or it just means we need to get back a scoring center and scoring point guard.....he's fine at SF taking very specific shots, the percentage should be the only problem.
