As usual, Clutchfans with the insane mood swings... This was a great game. But guess what, it wasn't a great game because guys had really great offensive nights. It was great cause (a) we focused and hustled on defense and (b) we were patient and played within ourselves on offense. Cases in point- KMart was cold as an ice cube from 3- but clutchfan's ADD members won't even remember this because he was smart enough to adjust in the first quarter and start doing other things. Lowry only took two ill advised 3's and happened to make both. Other than that he played within himself. And Shane didn't do anything amazing. He took his fav. shot twice and got himself hot. It's what he DIDN'T do- try to drive to the basket and create, etc. a lot- that was more important. The fact is, this game proves what some have been saying through the offseason- this team has more than enough offensive firepower that we don't even need to worry about it- just let it flow. What we need to focus on is defense. Oh, and Jordan didn't have a great game, actually. He had a great 4th quarter, yes (Clutchfans ADD and mood swings again). I was noticing throughout the game that he was very poor on the boards, not hustling nearly enough for rebounds. The veteran and big men of the Lakers really bothered him for most of the game. However, he did have two very, very big rebounds when it counted. All in all, awesome game, I hope we can build on it. We finally got some 48 minute consistency, let's see if we can get game-to-game consistency now.
Fun game. Rockets beat the Lakers in dramatic fashion. Loud Toyota Center ....and that one blonde chick jumping up and down in celebration on camera for ~10 seconds.
Oh, and J-Hill did play some excellent defense. As did Kmart and many of the other guys that always do. That's really the reason we won. The offensive stuff is easy for us- there every night if we're just patient and play within ourselves.
if this is real (which i wouldnt doubt) that is horrible- I'll man up... I did place the bet and I did lose $10,000 today. I didn't think there was a chance the Lakers would lose tonight after losing their last 3, and with the Rockets' size limitations without Yao and their speedy PG limitations without Brooks (the Lakers 2 main weaknesses during their losing streak). I made an error in judgment in betting so large, but I didn't think it would lose. Obviously I was wrong. I'll take my lumps and bow out gracefully now. Good night all, it's been a fun ride. Peace out.
Great game to be at. Going through the highs and lows of a game and coming out the victor ... I've missed this feeling. I am thirsty for more.
Ok we lost to the Toronto Raptors one of the baddest team in the NBA. Then we beat the Lakers THE best team in the NBA. Where does that put us?
Big win, but something has gone unnoticed This is the first four game losing streak that la has had since pau gasol joined the team!!!!
so? we got a win out of it without two of our starters. A win is a win, even though they have been in a losing slump it wasn't like the rockets were playing bad tonight, i haven't seen the rockets play a game liek this ever since the season started.
LOL don't trash him too bad. As much as I conflict opinions with him, he is still a good fan and definitely a better poster than most of the people on CF. He simply takes his man crushes with certain players too far.
The mood swing on Clutchfans is really amusing. One day Battier is the be all and end all of evil, then he is the hero of heroes the next. Great game all around though but the Lakers looked worn out tonight. I hope this game gives the Rockets the confidence and belief that if they just give it the right effort and focus then they can beat any team in the NBA.
