Then what the hell are you talking about? Ron put up 24 and T-mac added 15 with their return to the lineup since Jan 9.They did have practice with the whole team and scrimmage a little bit but don't forget getting on the court playing ball game is alot diff.from the scrimmage. They did perform well to me,but T-Mac needs to move quicker in the near future than now.
Rip Hamilton (and probably Ray Allen) are two of the hardest people to guard through screens. It wasn't just Wafer that had a difficult time keeping up with Rip. Artest and Battier had just as much trouble. Not saying that his defense was that good tonight...I just think that it was more Rip Hamilton's offense than Wafer's defense.
The difference between Wafer and Battier was that when Wafer got hung up coming around a pick it looked like he almost quit chasing his man. That's what he needs to work on, he'll learn that you have to work as hard defensively as offensively to make it in the league. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy as a player, but his D definitely leaves something to be desired. I will say he does a good job challenging shots when he gets backed down b/c his hops allow him to get a hand near the shot.
did you even read what you posted? when tmac held the ball, EVERYBODY else stopped moving. tmac didnt ask for them to stop. you cant blame tmac for that. motion offense doesnt just mean keep the ball moving, it means everyone should be moving, making cuts, setting picks. this is the rockets' problem. just because the ball is in tmac hands, they stop moving. they wait for him to make a move. THAT IS WRONG. you keep moving, if you get free, tmac will find you. but if everyone stops, no one gets free, then tmac gets forced to break down his man with an ISO. if yao were here, this wouldnt be a problem. because when yao sees tmac with the ball, he automatically moves to the post asking for the ball. yao knows tmac will give him the ball when he gets into scoring position. no one else on the rockets team seems to realize this. rockets: move your asses into scoring position. tmac will get you the ball!
Please man,Tracy just back from his injury and give him his time to get better.Von's good player and we all know that,he's more athletic and energetic than T-Mac right now,but just let him do him for maybe a couple weeks to see how he gonna respond to his injured knee.
Agreed!I just can't understand why they all stood still and did not wanna move their asses until they got the wide open look away from the basket. It's not T-Mac's fault to iso himself and play one-on-one,everybody just looking and standing, waiting for him to either get to the rim or jack up a J.They should get their heads straight first, then moving without the ball.
Rockets play without any big man, and still the offense flow smoothly.. it's a good feeling to see rockets playing like this.. Go Rockets.. make a noise
Was at the game, here are some quick observations: -Tracy is out of shape, he was laboring to get down the court every time -Great to see Ron-Ron come back and get hot. Hopefully, being healthy now will lead to a greater shooting percentage -Scola was absolutely dominant. The Pistons fans sitting next to me had no idea who he was....now they know. -Hayes has no reason to be on the court. His defense was atrocious and he has absolutely no offense. Deke should take his minutes. Overall great win and a great time
this detroit team feels a little different from the past few years. glad to take the win. mcgrady and artest, it's their first game back in 2-3 weeks. not much has changed. i still see a lot of holding the ball and not much movement by #1, and #96 was still playing either one-on-one or shooting long j's. if that was a "full throttle" comeback, i am a little pissed. but, let's wait, say, 10 more games.
and you want who? Rip Hamilton who only knows to run through screens to free HIMSELF and get shots off FOR HIMSELF? whose primary motivation is for HIMSELF to score? not anyone else. not to mention, the guy has an attitude problem and warned that he has no plans to play as a reserve. SERIOUSLY? You want that guy? Over a guy who sees the floor extremely well, who can rebound, assist and make plays for everyone else to offset days he's not shooting very well? just because the other 4guys on the floor stops moving when he has the ball? why cant wafer/rafer/AB run through screens ala Rip to free themselves while tmac has the ball? why cant they do that? i dont see tmac shouting, "everyone of you stand still while i stare my defender down and hopefully his knees buckle and i can shoot/run past by him". seriously.
I was a little bit pissed the second I watched game and saw T-Mac's elevation.Damn shame,I couldn't understand how it's possible for him to dunk the ball in?If "full throttle" meant the performace like this, damn,he's goner and done with his career,he needs to learn to be a role player on this team.Von for the starter and T-Mac subs in for him.
Hilarious! Not because of content. But because it reminds me of SF3 in the Laker Series with Kobe on him. Someone said it was the reason they hated SF3. These things just happen I guess. Someone has to drill into the team that TMAC trust them so if they move they will actually get the ball. They don't seem to trust that Tmac trusts them. Hopefully this will come in time. I have faith. Rocket River
