I couldn't believe my eyes at the start of the game with all the ball movement. That was awesome!

Barry didn't have a very good game, but he's much better when playing with Yao. If we can pair Barry or Wafer with T-Mac, we could be decent handling the ball for short spurts. Brooks needs to find his jumpshot and dribble less when running the offense.

outside of 2 makes (post up on stuckey and a layup), all of artest's baskets were wide open spot up jump shots.

if anything, rafer was our best playmaker tonight.

I totally agree, but I still think wafer needs to take more of tmac's minutes because when the team iso tmac and I have watched a lot of rockets game to see that they always do this, the offense seems lost and stagnant. In the end, tmac ends up with a 20 foot jumper majority of the time. Thats not good offense.

and to add I just hope he can get back near his best because when its close there is no one better at running down the clock and creating and hitting for himself.

Probably the over / under is closer to 100. Most recently was when Yao was on fire (12/12).... Also, the great play of Von Wafer.... But you're right ....

TMac trumps him in rebounding and passing. I'll take TMac's 15-4-4 tonight over the 17-3-2 Wafer has averaged this month. TMac will likely average a couple numbers higher than each of those the rest of the season. I can't see Wafer getting much more than the 17-3-2 he has done.

I like them both and Wafer should get 20 minutes a game even with TMac back but TMac is still easily a better player. Even though Brooks hasn't been bad at all its his minutes that Wafer should siphon.

But if he tries it and can do it, T-Mac still doesn't look comfortable doing it... so why make him, when there is other options?

T-Mac's layup was critical at the later part of the game, Artest really helped a lot, but again i see our starters moving the ball very slow, hope it improves.

if I want to be specific.. I'll point out the differences.. Alston "what the hell" moments.. was one.. chucking up a three against the offense and with plenty on the clock for a quality possession.. two.. chucking up an off balanced, guarded three.. with shooters set and open at his sides and across the paint.. again with enough time for a better possession.. Tracy's was wasting clock just to get denied a shot by Stuckey.. when there were better options.. following that up by lazily chucking up a semi-stammered turn around shot, that had absolutely no chance, as it got effortlessly blocked, when he could've looked for the pass..

yes ,but tracy has to be more ahletic and he needs to learn more from kobe to control the game, what i mean is he needs to be a real leader in games attacktively and defensively.so may be then we can enjoy watching rockets in the finals .what yao needs to do is play dominately ,adjust himself in the game

I am not saying Wafer is a better player than Tmac. Tmac is more experience and is a better baller than wafer will probably ever be. If tmac can sacrifice his scoring/shooting and pass more instead of taking 20 foot jumpers, I think we would be able to beat anyone because when he attacks the basket, theres always someone open in the corner (battier, barry, artest.... EVEN alston even though I rather not have him shoot), but you get my point. If he can set up others more and sacrifice his shot, this team will be unstoppable.

the only guy who can create his own shot at the end of the game still was tmac (with that drive)

ron artest had a PF on him and jacked up 2 contested jumpers in that sequence. raer jacked up a deep 3.

he still remains the best guy to take the opponent's best defender to the basket.

that's why if we had yao tonight, we would have gone through yao b/c he's the healthiest.

What is most exciting about this game was thinking about the variety of lineups the Rockets can run out there once Yao is back. Barry and Battier are just made to play with him. They have some fast break options, particularly with how well Scola and Von Wafer get going. Being able to bring Artest, Wafer, Landry and Barry off the bench will be so awesome. Adelman will be able to dictate to other teams. I think it will be important for him to figure out his rotations so everybody knows their role.

it hurts when you dont have your go to guy on the floor. please dont forget that yao didnt play and the offense still rolled. If were not getting anything on the perimeter, we usually just dump it in to yao who can dominate games.

    1. Need sign another PG before deadline
    2. Start Wafer, T-mac off-bench.

McGrady mixing it up with more moves toward the basket with or without the ball would have been nice but we may just have to come to terms that he just plays that way. Who knows? Maybe he will find it easier to mixing it up more with Yao back in the lineup.

The hustle plays by Battier, Scola, and Artest saved the win.
