When Adelman put back Brooks in the game for the 2nd time, I was like "WTF". Luckily, Adelman woke up and pulled Brooks out after a few possessions.

Respect is earned. People still respected CWebb when he got back from his injury even tho he was a one legged rabbit hobbling around. Tracy has earned his respect in this league, but he is not the same player as before. If Michael Jordan played today, people would still double team him.

To be honest, at this point in mac's career, I dont think he can ever gain his old form again. He might be washed up, whos to say because being in shape doesnt get your athleticism back and tmac has lost quite a few steps in his. I would rather have von wafer sharing big minutes with tracy playing about 20-25 minutes from here on out because von wafer is pretty effective in creating his own shot.

that "zone defense" wasn't much of one.. terribly executed..

Deke simply needs to be incorporated into this team.. that layup drill that got Detroit back in it was plainly inexcusable.. you put a stop to that automatically just by inserting Deke into the paint..

for those saying he wouldn't have done much good with Rasheed Wallace as his counter opposite.. taking him out to the three point line.. you must've not seen the game.. Rasheed did the majority of his killing in the post.. against Scola.. it was part of one of Detroit's big runs.. when you see that, along with so many easy twos by the opposition.. you put in your best shot blocker and post defender.. and take your chances with outside shot..

Twice. One of them luckily fell in scola's hands.

You are by far the worst and most negative poster on this board. I will bet anything that out of your 2200 or so posts, you have less than 10 posts that are complimentary in any sort of fashion.

    Cheer up Brosef.

With all the negativity around here.. coming into tomorrow's game we will probably have a healthy team with the 3 playings and we are only 2 games off 2nd spot with a few sub .500 teams coming up.

dude the 2nd unit blew almost the entire double digit lead in the 2nd quarter. they did play well to start the 4th though.

we built that lead in the first quarter WITH tracy.

    did people watch the game?

For defensive purposes. Notice that he had Hayes on Rasheed at the end of the game, even though he knew they would look to get him a 3-point shot. As I've argued in the past, height isn't a primary factor when it comes to perimeter defense.

That is exactly how I felt tonight. EXACTLY. I also thought that a trade for Rip would be perfect b/c his game fits this system like no one else, he's mike miller on steroids.

Yao was definitely missed in the 4th quarter, needed an inside presence to draw double teams and open up everybody else, but without him the team had to work extra hard to get shots at the end of the game.

Overall, piss poor defense, solid but unspectacular offense. The team definitely looked really strong at the beginning of the fourth with the rafer/wafer backcourt. Wafer is very damn solid, moves without the ball, can hit the open jumper, and attack the basket and either finish at the rim or hit a pull up j.

Oh, how great it would be to have Rip......

it's hard to run your normal offense down late in games. tracy isn't ready to fully operate right now and he'll get there. he drew a foul on richard hamilton and made that layup (to make up for the missed shot on stuckey and blocked shot by prince).

i'm sure tracy is more confident, but he knows practice isn't nba games. he'll get better.

A great team effort by the rockets. Ron Artest really came through for the Rockets, Tmac set up his teammates great, Battier played great defense and added hustle to that, and Scola stepped up to the challenge of Rasheed Wallace and won that.

Our bench was solid as well, with Wafer, Hayes, and Landry bringing energy.

Rafer played well, as far as setting up the offense, and protecting the ball, and he scored when the offense came to him, until the last 3 or 4 minutes. He almost shot us out of the game with quick and contested 3 point shots.

Luckily, we continued to get offensive rebounds and Artest and Tmac made the plays offensively to help us get the W.

Only time will tell, a solid performance from McGrady considering it is his first game back.

I do like to see more minutes shared between McGrady and Wafer, but Wafer is not as effective as we portrayed him to be. Wafer is VERY good, and IMO will develop into a possible 15/4/4 player, but at this point in his career no one reallys know about him, and defense has yet to pay attention to him.

Like I said, Only time will tell. If defense began to pay more attention to Wafer, everything might change. Not to mention, Wafer has no left hand, the lost against Pacers he would force a shot with his right hand in awkward angles. Wafer does not have McGrady's defensive pressure yet, and I honestly don't believe Wafer can play well if Prince was put on him the whole time.

i love for von to play more minutes. and right now tracy isn't ready to play full minutes yet i agree. he was great in short stretches.

but my point is we played our best with tracy in the game tonight as the +/- showed. we started out well with tracy. we started the 3rd well with tracy. the 4th got a little bad there, but overall, we played better WITH tracy.

I don't mind him in there I just don't like the iso crap with him while hes coming back. I think if anything an iso with artest would be better as he can at least force his way to the rack.. while at the same time trying to free up T-Mac for something open.
