After reading this thread you would have thought we lost. You would also think T-mac scored 2 points after reading it. Yes he could of been more aggressive looking for his shot, but he was looking to get his teammates involved most of the game. My only problem with him is he should of drove to the hole more in the 2nd half. This was his first game back and Tayshaun Prince was guarding him. It shouldn't be shocking that he didn't dominate. Enough of this Wafer over T-mac crap. Wafer is a good scorer, T-mac is a great playmaker.
tmac and rafer get a lot of heat but did a great job today. could they be better? sure...but brooks started to lose the game for us as soon as he stepped on the floor....barry wasnt great either. so stop hatin' on mac or alston.
From Feigen of the Chron "The Rockets were stuck in Auburn Hills well into the night. It was not, however, the weather. One of the buses would not start. They stood around getting searched for about an hour after they were ready to head to the airport and to New York. Apparently, Detroit loves Ron Artest. This happened before, when he was still with the Pacers the season after the brawl." Pretty funny, but something to keep in mind if Ron is with us next year.
If you like Artest, u should like Sheed. They're both really passionate, have good skills, loved by their teammates, and hated by other teams and other teams' fans.
This is a big win for us. The last time the Rockets beat the Pistons in Detroit was in the 2000/01 season.Olajuwon's last season and Francis 2nd. So, great win.
Great game, what finger nails I had are gone. Seriously though, we need to learn how to hold onto a lead...
Man, I don't think we played well at all. Obviously, we were hitting those shots. but we didn't play smart. We simply played no defense. Detroit were having layup drills against us tonight. Detroit didn't play defense either but at least they force us to shoot. They let us beat them from the outside, and fortunately we accepted the challenge. But that is what good teams do. But really, I tought the zone is supposed to stop the paint and give up some outside corners shots, well they were getting EASY LAYUPS. It was pathetic. On the other end we couldn't drive. The spacing was HORRIBLE. You saw for example McGrady. He had to ball on the post, as soon as he made the 1st dribble they were comming with the 2nd defender on him which forced him to pass out. He, and not only he just couldn't get inside. I just don't think we played well, even offensivly. You gotta be agressive, gotta put the pressure on the defense. Tonight, we felt in love with those jumpers, but at least we made them. But really, you can't play like that, neither defensivly or offensivly.
Sheed is only passionate when it comes to non-playing matters like arguing calls. On the court he'd rather hoist 3 pt jumpers then bang down low. I consider Rasheed Wallace to be as big a waste as Shaq. Shaq certainly could have won more than 3 rings had he worked harder, Sheed should have battled Duncan as the greatest PF of all time had he been more willing to do what it takes to win. Great Win! T-mac is not vintage tmac yet, but I'd take this version of tmac over T-slack any day I'm not sure to what extent his knee has recovered but those two weeks of rest certainly did wonders for his psyche. Maybe he was more mentally tired with all the hating and bashing than anything else.
We won, I could care less if it was pretty...a win is a win. Sure they choked another lead away, but at least not all the way. A win is a win is a win. DD

Definitely one of the best regular season Rockets games I've been to...nearly got killed cheering for the Rox at The Palace...good times.
BTW, have you guys noticed how the officiating seemed much more balanced last night? Three words: No Yao Ming
