You have to conscider the fact that Boroks doesnt always have to run the team with Mcgrady on the floor. He just has to be a shooter and a slasher. He can be very good in that role.

If Brooks plays like this 3 out of 4 nights, it will make Alston very expendable. Well, we'd still need a backup PG. ;)

Great game by everyone, especially the big three. I was really hoping to see Stevie play though... :(

Brooks is a player that can and never will be a starter on this team.

Us fans have to be lucky that this team caught on fire in the 3 ball tonight.

Because if this team is struggling obviously this team would've been killed.

Oh no doubt, it's as much on Yao as it is on the Rockets to feed him the ball. He's gotta be aggressive and be more physical to get good position.

TMac plays PG in the halfcourt sets anyway - he does that when Rafer plays too.

PG on this team is all about taking the open 3 and hitting it?

Like keeping them honest with his outside shot (he has a decent outside shot), driving to create for himself or for others, and outplaying Billups? :)

Denver was playing a second night of a back-to-back and showed it in the second half. But still, it was an impressive win. Everyone stepped up and got the job done.

A huge game by Brooks. He's really figuring out how to use his speed. Instead of going full throttle all the time, he's learning to pick his moments and exploit what the defense is giving him.

Great rotation change by Adelman. If I were Adelman, I'd consider leaving Brooks and Battier in the starting lineup permanently, with Alston and Artest off the bench.

right. when yao's/tmac are double teamed, our pg's going to get the ball outside. your choices are either rafer or aaron... chew on that for a while.

I still have some doubts when we lost our 11-2 lead so easily and gradually in the first half. It happened several times for this season.
Anyway, it is a good game.

So basically he can do everything that Alston can't do and that the Rockets need from their pg? :)

Its about making shots and playing defense....I know Brooks can make shots, but defense is still a question mark. Did a good job on Billups tonight.

Boo-Yah! The Shane/Artest lockdown machine is starting to roll. Once Tmac rounds out into shape we'll always have two great perimeter defenders on the floor at any given time. Let's see Kobe/PP/Cp3/etc score on that!

More importantly, the Big 3 is starting to click. Yao Ming with 32 pts, Ron Artest with good over all play (along with 20 pts) and Tmac with a freakin' Triple Double. And not just your ordinary triple double, but 20 pts, 14 rebs and 10 assists! For a second there I thought we traded Tmac for LBJ lol.

Alston, better come back quickly and polish your shooting game while you're at it. Ab0 is coming for your job :D

Exactly. Brooks wasn't exactly playing the point at every possession. McGrady is an absolute luxury because of his versatility. People always take it for granted. Brooks is still more of a SG to me than a PG, but it's not supposed to be a bad thing. We WANT him to shoot. That's what he's good at.

However, we can't afford to have T-Mac play such a big role in the offense every game, because that will ware him down. That's why we need another point that can run the offense. That's Rafer's value. His one on one defense is better too.

To stop any great PG, whether it's Billups or Paul, you have to play great team defense. With Artest and Battier to help out, our defense was amazing.

With Alston out 2 weeks this is Brooks chance to become the starter or at least get more minutes than he's been getting. I thought Billips was going to dominate Brooks and not sure if it was Brooks D but Chauncey having a bad game was a key to winning.

Aaron Brooks had a decent game not even a good one.

He has no clue how to run an offense how to do anything a PG is suppose to do. All said and done, Anybody who plays on the Houston Rockets team is a better PG than Brooks.
