Great game. I was there and I noticed a little turbulence with Scola and Ariza. At least a couple of times they would both pull down a rebound and Scola would strong arm it away from Ariza (maybe intentional, maybe not) and then Ariza would have a couple of choice words for Scola. Anyone else notice this?
yeah not a big deal though. im sure ariza wants to pad his stats with rebounds to compensate for his poor shooting of late but he ain't taking that ball away from scola
NBA: West scorches Rockets with 44 Just lol. We win and yet the NBA's tagline goes, "David West pours in a career high 44 points and 12 rebounds in a tough loss to the rockets." Of course, they would never consider saying, "Rockets overwhelm Hornets despite West's 44 points."
The team caught a break with Okafor fouling out with 2 minutes left. I doubt that happens in New Orleans. Tough schedule coming up, the Rockets are looking like they are beginning to wear down and I still can't understand why management thinks McGrady can't add anything to a team looking to go nowhere.
They're on ESPN daily dime #5 for wasted efforts. http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-091229/daily-dime
Yeah pretty ridiculous. That being said I like the role of not getting respect. As long as we keep winning they can write what they want
Budinger is coming back soon. And the Rockets appear to be excited and rejuvenated (just look at Battier tonight) now that the McGrady saga is winding down. Team going nowhere? We're neck and neck in the western conference without any help from that whiner. The only thing Tmac would've added was liability on defense and drawing further injuries to other players on our team.
Edit: *The only things Tmac would've added would've been a liability on defense and the drawing of further injuries to the players on our team.
Wow, you know what? I think you might be right....I was wondering what it was that made such a huge difference last night versus the last few weeks in terms of the team's watchability (or their playing). I wasn't kidding last night when I said I was yelling at the tv - and I never do that. Usually I make myself useful like folding clothes while watching the game, but not last night! I was pumped up and excited by their energy, and perhaps the T-Mac drama being finally resolved is it, the unspoken reason behind the extra energy - despite the various team members saying publicly that it wasn't a factor one way or the other. I wonder if that dramatically affected Shane Battier somehow? That man came ALIVE last night in a way I haven't seen since last year's playoffs. Could Shane have been worried that they might keep Tmac over him, or otherwise have been negatively effected by his prescence? I bet, upon thinking about it, that there is something to it - remember Shane not speaking to the press yesterday? He's usually a press fiend.....
Really great win! I didn't see the game. But the highlights and the stats on nba.com looks good. Have someone an link where i can download Houston Games? I'm from Germany and it's not easy to see Games or know where i can download some! Please help
IMO even if we won a championship, they'll be saying it's the "Miracle". We are underrated and unappreciated like how we were 10 years ago.
That's the "Nightly Notable" video not highlights or headline. The front page reads: Rockets' late run cools Hornets Houston overcomes big nights from West, Paul with team-first approach West's big night Paul dishes to West Ariza jets past defense for the jam Rockets trying to deal McGrady Players tune out T-Mac saga
lol, why take credit away from the man? you know you wouldn't like it if Landry or Scola dropped 44 and have people discredit his performance because he plays with Brooks.
