Horrible third, Horriza keeps up his horrid FG% yet we pull a good win at home in the end. Love the Rockets!
clutch, nice half court shoot GOOOOOOOO ROCKETS AND CLUTCH AB, kyle lowry, mandry, scola, big david, and Battriza
Player of the Game vs NOH Kyle Lowry You can't just look at the stat sheet for this one although he did lead in +/- not surprisingly. When he came in to start the 4th quarter, he made plays at both ends of the floor as usual. Rebounds, drawing offensive fouls on screens, drawing fouls by taking it to the basket and getting to the line, finding open shooters, etc... Brooks had a solid game, too... kept his turnovers down, hit his shots. Battier played both ends of the floor well tonight. But when the game was slipping away, it was Lowry that completely changed the momentum.
No kidding! My husband thought something was wrong because he heard me screaming at the tv "I told you to double team him [West]!!" or "Start moving the damned ball so they'll stop clogging the paint!". I think he thinks I'm crazy.....
I was really impressed with David Andersen this evening, and the last few games in general. He's obviously growing more comfortable in the NBA and can throw some pretty shots. I think if he'd bulk up a bit and be more aggressive on D, he'd be a really good player...not that he isn't good now, but his defense is pretty weak. He looks like an undersized school boy out there sometimes, instead of the world class athlete that he is....
Wow is Ariza bad on offense. Bad on Dribbling Bad on passing Bad on shooting I think the Lakers knew exactly what they were giving up. DD
Lowry may have helped us sustain our lead to the W, but Brooks and Battier helped to get us that lead in the first place. Overall though, no one player shined and it was really a team effort (like that isn't new  ). IMO, all 3 of them deserve it as much as the other.
I had thought that Tmac thing would effect today's game. But the Rockets are much stronger than i expected.
