He had very good "defensa" tonight, and yet you still take stabs at him.. get out of here...
Amazing ferocity by Yao Landry with some monster jams Battier played exceptionally tonight Artest only missed one layup the entire night!!!
Yao was resilient tonight, he started 0-4 looked out of place and just humiliated by Jefferson, but he finished the game 12-18 for another efficient scoring night. Also Jefferson started 8-12 but finished only 8-18 after the 1st quarter, Yao did a decent job on him at the end. Yao just needs to learn how to grab a rebound, I think it was about 3-4 times he literally had the ball in his hands and it just went through although the rockets beat them on the boards 51-39.
Dont't pretend to be humorous, because you're not. T-Mac has improved considerably in the last few games. He had several key baskets in this game. Good team efforts to get out of that big hole.
Chill, bude. Yao did looked sloppy at the beginning. A supposed superstar should take the blame when he cann't finish his job. It's nothing about hating. Though, he should be given credit when he and the rest of the team came around that first quarter deficit and won in the end.
Yao did have a match up problem with those athletic bigs who can shoot mid-range jumpers. Remember Swift? Jefferson took 30 shots and made 15 of them. It's like T-Mac in Orlando. Fantastic numbers but team failure. Chuck Hayes did a good job defending him.
Nope. Yao should lead this team. Period. Mof Clutch BBS fans know that. But many of them do have the right to complain when Yao looked really sloppy at the beginning.
Fans are just fans, especially when you're talking about Rockets fans who are not known for their patience.
Yao's performance tonight is very encouraging. In the past, if he missed the first few shots, he would very likely to have a poor game. But tonight even though he was completely owned by AJ in the first quarter and absolutely nothing seemed to be going his way, he kept his head up and came back to outplay AJ in the last three quarters. What is most important is his dunks turned the tide of the game and his play helped the team to win. I think it's a sign of maturity. It has taken a little too long but finally it arrived.
This was the kind of win we needed. We fell behind big early (15 points) but slowly clawed our way back. There was a sense of resolve and, in the end, we just beat them. Hopefully, we can build on this.
It's easy for you to say it when sitting in front of computer. Imagine you have to lift your 7'6" and 315 lbs body to dunk it every time.
not just tonight, the most recent memory I have is last game yao was bothered/outplayed all game long, he somehow stepped up in the fourth and almost won that game for us. There are some other games he started linke 0/4 and then finished 8/13 somethg like that.
same thought has flashed by in my mind, too. i hope it is true. we shall see. btw, gotta love yao's sense of humor. - http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2009/02/post_1.html
